Leviticus 26:43-45, "For the land will be abandoned by them, and will restore its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them. They, meanwhile, will be making amends for their wrongdoing, because they rejected My ordinances and their soul loathed My statutes. Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so loathe them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God. But I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, so that I might be their God. I am the Lord.’”

I was reading judges about the levite and his concubine last night. And i asked God to help me to understand that story. And today i had in me head to read hosae, and i found out that it directly addressed that situation i read about in judges. So God really answers us when we ask him for understanding. God had not forgotten that sin and they were paid back

Yirah which is the fear of the Lord is more of a feeling of awe and reverence not a trembling fear

What about fear of the Lord? We can have faith in God and fear him. We do things to either seek pleasure or avoid pain. In seeking God we find peace and pleasure in him and in having fear of the Lord we make choices to glorify him and avoid pain. It seems fear and faith work together and you can rarely have one without the other.
