Honestly, this Hosim is a friggin tank! After seeing what you did to it, and, what happened to it after, this thing is absolutely worth the money! What a way to get into the hobby too, or back into it!! That thing has really affordable parts, being 1/10 scale you have loads of aftermarket parts and bodies, you can really go any way you want with this rig, and, it already has some very key, important aluminum parts!! I’m really impressed with this rig! I was impressed with the 07 and even more now with the 08! I still have yet to order one, but it’s definitely on the list as so many others are too! Choices man. I run my Hosim 9125 on 3s all day long without issues. I’ve even ran it on 4s and the 60 amp esc took it. Their cvd’s are strong and as much as I’ve bashed mine I’ve never had an issue with them. I’ve been thinking about one of these to add to the collection

If you let off the throttle completely the drag brake doesn’t engage and it will freewheel. If you’re still on the throttle even just a little bit, it will engage the drag brake. Takes some getting used to.

I found what makes that noise the front and rear differentials. Hosing replaced the front that was a week ago I put the new ones in and it was great for a while now the back diff is gone I just ordered new ones. But it is a good truck other than that I like it 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦

I have to tighten the wheel nuts on my Hosim after every run. They should have little lock washers behind them.

I see you also found their drag break of hell, which no other esc does at all and others at least let you adjust it they don’t and your clicking is in the diff cups from the break being slammed on

Hey, great video man! I have the x-07 and was wondering if you can recommend a good 3s battery for me to use. I have heard that some 3s batteries cause problems with the x07 and I want to avoid that. Picking this one up real soon!

Is it faster than the 07? Same motor or different? Everything in this comes in the 07 now BTW to anybody looking at both. Comes with the two 2600 batteries, oil shocks, motor has a heat sink now and a fan on the ESC. So I think they've upgraded the 07 package once this came out. Motor looks the same, but I can't tell for sure. I like the truck look way better though, I make have to order the truck body to throw on my x07 (which honestly now that I'm watching this may be the only difference between the two at this point)

The charger that it came with is only there to help you get by for awhile. I HIGHLY suggest you get a good quality charger that allows you to properly care for the batteries. I suggest this one: amzn.to/44Gtbxw It is overkill for the small batteries this truck comes with - but future-proofs you for any other vehicles you may buy.

I just got an X08 Monday and I have the clicking as well now after a hard front impact. The drive gears seem ok but when I took the front diff apart I noticed a couple of chipped teeth. I'm not sure if that's the source of the clicking we'll see after I get the replacement diff.

I have an x07 , I’ve had about 4 months now and I’m on my 3rd front Diff and also on my second rear. Gotta be careful on landing under power with these. Luckily parts are cheap for them 🤘

Nice rc but the problem with hosim rcs that the engine is in the air.. Not on the ground of the chase. If u have more bad landings it is a problem.

Interesting observation! As long as the motor mount is strong, not sure it matters - but noted.

The real issue is that there is no slipper clutch. That's ok for smaller cars (1:14, 1:16, that's where Hosim comes from), but NOT AT ALL for a 1:20 2kg Monster Truck! Both differentials broke for me at just light use. And of course the enginge gets super hot!

You're mentioning klicking. I guess I know what it is: You've already killed at least one of the diffs. Because the car is pretty heavy and the diffs come from smaller 1:14 size cars AND the car doesn't even have a slipper clutch, the diffs loose teeth on the outer gear. I killed both of mine in my X-07 with just light driving (on 3S, though)

Most likely correct. Especially since the drag brake is so strong, you have to be on-power to keep the truck flat when landing.
