The houses were originally built for University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, presumably to be rented to medical staff at the nearby Leicester General Hospital. As the NHS Trust couldn't afford to repair / update the houses, the estate was bought by Leicester City Council in 2021. After sitting on their hands for over two years, the City Council finally gave the go-ahead in February 2024 to upgrade the houses, which will be council houses available to tenants. So, the council are getting there but it has been slow progress.

Council should be made to resign on mass along with the so called mayor and the joker Soulsby

Leicestershire Mayor , leaders and councillors should resign and there should be an enquiry as to why the city is woefully underfunded and infrastructure investment non existent . Most other major cities are being regenerated and improved and I have noticed whilst visiting them . Labour has done nothing for Leicester and if only the city had voted Tory in 2010 Leicester would have seen major improvement and investment.
