You guys should have seen my hospital room in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was a private 5 star room, right down to electric window blind shutters, a bar fridge, microwave sink, crockery cultery and glasses, a lounge/single bed for other half, naturally a great water closet. Being on the top floor, the view over Kowloon, Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, was amazing, especially at night with the lights and laser show on and around the habour. It was their VIP room that I had for five days. Amazing. The room was large enough for four beds. When I rang the bell, three to four nurses would come running in. All patient food was ordered through their cafeteria and charged to your bill. Fortunately my travel insurance was paying the tab because following that I was flown home Business Class on the latest flat beds with a private nurse looking after me all the way. Unfortunately, my husband still had to fly economy. I had a distal femur fracture unset, just stablised in a brace. It took us 24 hour plus to fly and drive home, complete wih one stopover. Arriving home was a completely different ballgame. Our local hospital which I had to go trough being after hours to access my Private Hospital, wasn't convinced of my fracture having been diagnosed by a Hong Kong orthopaedic, let alone that I had flown back without surgery. Until they could find a bed in the emergency department, I was told to take a seat in the waiting area. They weren't even going to assist me with using the bathroom until I became emotionally vocal with the triage nurse. I simply couldn't weightbear and hadn't been the bathroom for 9 hours and it was my only bathroom break the entire trip. Needless to say I didn't have much fluid intake the entire trip.

Hi Mary and Peter! I also have spent many days in the hospital along side of my husband who lost his fight to cancer at 36 last year. After 2 stem cell transplants and many rounds of inpatient chemo I also learned how to help make the hospital room alittle more comfortable for both of us. I had gotten my fair share of lovely chairs to sleep in next to him. I had bought a twin egg crate at walmart and it fit super nice on the chairs! Made a world of difference. I rolled it up during the day and it fit nice in a grocery tote bag😁

When I was inpatient it was in Parkland, New Hampshire. The staff there were really nice (minus the doctor..) and I felt welcome. Someone always has to be with me so they can get all the info for me. I am so excited to try this and have a saved area for all that info. I would take a single hospital room if it was the size of a broom closet over the rooms we have in Serbia. I was hospitalised a fair number of times, the smallest number of patients I was with was two (me being the third in the room) and the biggest 7! In many of the hospitals there is only two bathrooms per floor (one male one female) and there are a fair number of patients on a single floor. When I started in a different hospital I was so happy and grateful that there is a bathroom per room, so even if there's 3-6 patients in a room it's better than one per 30. Edit: Also as far as I know there is no way the hospital would let a spouse or a parent sleep in the room and be there for more than the designated time for visits. It gets pretty lonely (even with a lot of patients in the room). Thank God for Skype 😅

If it's too much info you can ask for a protocol! I do that with important pre-OP or therapy-change talks. It has never been a problem. I think they prefer patients and parents of patients that are informed to people who get it wrong and say at the next control "the doctor told me so" ... What I do, too, is I send a fax explaining how I remember an information and ask if I remember correctly. If it's right the doctor will just write okay and fax it back. If it's wrong she'll call or write the correct info and fax that back. Kind regards!

@@jodiemorgan6809 I'm so glad to hear it! Yes -- Android should be on its way. We set the app to go live, but I think the Play Store is still reviewing it. Hopefully it will go live within the next 24 hours. We'd love to hear your feedback! :)

I know in the past some doctors would not let anyone record them, maybe they feared lawsuits. It’s nice to use this app if doctors are ok with it. It’s very hard to remember everything they say.

Was that fancy room at Northwestern? Their new rooms are gorgeous!! I was in ICU (unfortunately), and talk about a suite! 😊I hope you’re healing & resting Mary, love & prayers 💛🙏 PS: I know you get a ton of mail/comments! My Uncle is a RRT, and worked with CF patients for over 23 years. I talked to him about your journey, and he offered to answer any questions regarding transplant information.

So frustrating as I attend at least 25 appointments every 3-6 months, so this app would have been perfect for me. Please let me know if there are any apps available in the uk 🇬🇧 that I can download. Hi Guys , A 'Back To The Future' video !! OK , why not !! That was a nice room , it great that it had a lot of window area , you could watch all the stars come out and try to count them all !! That sounds like a cool app if you have a cell phone , maybe someday I will decide to join the 'Smart Phone' crowd , but for now I am just as happy without. So many ask me ' why don`t you have a cell phone' , I always give my standard answer , 'I don`t want one' !! , I really don`t need one. I suppose one would come in handy , but I hardly ever use my tablet !! , and it`s a really good one , but I only take it if I need to show something to someone or to bring a document. Mostly it just sits in it`s case == LOL . Thanks for the room tour , be sure to say hi to Ollie for me , stay cool !!! some real summer weather is on it`s way. Take care , Gary 
