Hossein Amini is an admirable screenwriter. However, this is a waste of 31 minutes. There is too much talk of his work on 'Drive'. He should have been asked a lot of direct questions on the craft of screenwriting. Also, in the 1990s, what gave him the breakthrough into the life of a full time screenwriter? Even in the year 2014, why is it that we see so few screenwriters from the minority groups? Hardly any questions about the writing process until 29:16. Then, Hossein Amini is not given the time to talk freely about it.. So, this series of lectures is valuable. However, this one has been a genuine waste of time. And it is not the fault of Hossein Amini. This is a good lesson on how NOT to conduct an interview with a successful screenwriter.

+ZachClooney i was more interested in the Drive stuff and writing a screenplay with so little dialogue than another boring breaking in story. Those are usually the same stories.

Light the interviewer properly. It appears they are going for a Charlie Rose look, but wound up with a Seinfeld 2 face episode. Disturbing. Even more than her dumb questions.
