If someone's PaperMC isnt opening after the second time you double click the jar file, uninstall the Java SE Platform (which should be version 22) and reinstall the version 21 (JDK 21) instead of 22.

A host is still preferred in my opinion, as it's more secure and a hosts Network is built for lots of traffic, unlike a home Network. Through for some friend groups, I can see this being an alternative

You could have installed the playit plugin on the server. I think is easier. But I could also run anything with the windows app.

If anyone is having trouble with the .bat file not working here’s what i did to fix it. I’m on windows 11 so try and translate this as much if you are anything else. In file explorer look at the top where it says view, click the dropdown box. go to show and hit file name extensions. This will reveal your .bat file you thought you renamed from .txt to .bat was really a .bat.txt file all along! change that to a just .bat file and it should load! hope this helps someone!

Well yeah most server companies have it where you are running off hardware that you have at home but better. I have a R7 7800X3D and mine would run better than one of the more popular server providers but I also play on the computer I host it from so there is that.

I think it’s only good for versions that most hosting websites don’t have, ex. free hosting sites like aternos or minehut don’t have Beta 1.7.3. Using this, you can make a Beta 1.7.3 server, for free

You need to create a Forge or Fabric server, then when the folders are generated there instead of “plugins” is gonna be a “mods” folder, and you need to drag the mod there
