A very lovely Mexican family bought a house and moved into my neighborhood. They work, have a very well mannered son, and are fixing up the house and beautifully landscaping their yard. I don’t know how long this family has been in America, but they are a model family that appears to be melting into the melting pot. They are polite and since my husband passed away give me a helping hand every now and then. I have zero problem with people coming here legally but to bring in mass immigrants from all over the world, without vetting them, and without having the capability to help give them a good start and blend in as you say is totally irresponsible. To ask citizens who can barely make it as is to take in families when those in our government will not do the same is ludicrous.

If a corporation pays millions to influence politicians, it drives up the price they have to charge for their products. My family included multiple generations of Blacks and whites, Japanese and Native Americans, Vietnamese, Mexican, and Columbian, and I can't remember. Until the pandemic lockdowns, pride month festival was a family day at the parade downtown, drinking happy drinks and being loving and content with our gay family because being gay is part of humanity. 😊

Australia outsourced government services and the result was higher costs to the public but, reduced costs to the government which enables them to give more taxpayer money overseas

Outsourcing services overseas is even worse than keeping it in government. A. You are taking tax payers dollars out the Australian economy spending it elsewhere so your economy is getting smaller. B. You are employing foreigners not Australian citizens so you are exasperated unemployment for Australians. C. By taking it overseas you are denying competition for Australia companies to compete for products and services thus reducing costs to the Australian people. Javier Melei is 100% correct. Privatising does not just mean giving it to one company, that would make it a monopoly. You allow private companies to compete and allow the Australian citizen to choose. If you give to one or two you are basically making it a monopoly.

Except some businesses are "natural monopolies" because that business's marginal cost never exceeds average cost... In Australia, this is true of water services, electricity production-distribution and other things with massive sunk capital costs due to low population density (because of low land fecundity and marginal precipitation relative to Europe and the Americas - oldest most eroded continent in the world).
