It is really important to sterilize tools in between each different plant to prevent spread of HVX or other hosta diseases.

Mine too! I would love to see that photo! I left most of mine this year and removed the flowers/stems after they started to go by.

I prefer to cut them all out for aesthetics and my wife wants me to leave them so I’m going to tell her the American hosta association advises cutting them out!
