I've read that hostas grown from seed won't be true to the parent. Can you clarify that? I'm propagating by root divisions but it's a slow process to grow enough to sell!
@HostaandLilyGarden7 ай бұрын
I am sorry but I don't grow hostas from seeds. Hopefully @perennial-garden will answer your question.
@perennial-garden7 ай бұрын
Great question... but no, they don't come true from seed. In other words, if you sow viable seeds, the resulting plants may or may not resemble the parent plant. It's a gamble ;)

Hi, I have some hostas that I’m planting and I was wondering how deep they should be in the soil? Should the root crown be right at soil level?
