Learn how to navigate a close-quarters battle environment with SWAT and Special Operations training. This video covers working a threshold, hostage rescue, and more.
This video discusses my approach to a threshold (door) and some things I consider. I also go into depth on deciding where to go in the room and movements through the threshold. This is based on a team dynamic and our time in Special Operations, Special Weapons and Tactics teams.

Can't tell you how nice it is to have a channel to watch that's purely about transferring knowledge. No drama, or product shilling, or theatrics, etc etc. Nothing but respect for Kyle and his team.

Crushing it with this knowledge drop Kyle, the way you break down overcoming the threshold is perfect. Been struggling with it myself but I know it’s just burning the reps and having good basics. This cleared up a lot

Interesting comments on the way you use your sling to support the rifle with your tricep and back. I would like to see a video or presentation explaining these steps more in depth, as well as how wearing a plate carrier affects this. With this, I'd also like to see your experience on how the rifle being slung up front is affected by the gear you have on the front of your carrier. For instance, even though I'd rather run a charging handle with an extended release lever, I struggle because they snag on my gear up front. I think all of us have ways of dealing with things like this, but it would be interested to see your perspective from your time and experience. Thanks for your detailed info in these vids. I always learn something.

I had been wondering if Delta and other teir 1 teams had shifted even their hostage rescue tactics to more threshold assessments and limited penetration. Seems like this may be answering my question.

How would you clear 2 doors side by side, both open and the one on the left room opening to the left and the right opening to the right
@oorahjoe
@oorahjoe 3 ай бұрын
Threshold evaluation, pie, step center etc. Why not just say proces the room from outside the room as fast as you can engage targets. Step center just seems like biting off a chunk of work and hoping you can process it fast enough without holding up the train (hopefully there's only one target in that snap shot) Vs just move as fast as you can engage, if and when you make contact follow your shots in, move to the unknown🤷🏾‍♂️. I'm open to thoughts...... Thanks

At the end of the day, you’re never going to be 100% correct or safe when conducting CQB. I always hear people who’ve never done CQB knit pick how people conduct CQB like they are expecting to be taught a method that results in zero risks. This method minimizes risks and for CQB, that is enough.

He does not always do path of least resistance. Just a couple minutes before he gave a scenario where he said he would personally choose to button hook…. That wouldn’t be path of least resistance.

@@patrickb-man1309 that’s cool but you always want to go path of least resistance if possible. War fighting isn’t perfect so he also states you need to assess the situation.

@@T3actual Key words: “if possible” and “assess the situation” (situation dependent). It was actually possible for him to take the path of least resistance rather than a button hook, but after assessing THAT situation, he believed the button hook would be the safer option. I just don’t like the word “always”.

Great guys are helping law Enforcment. But at the same time displaying some current TTP's you have to wonder who else is watching and waiting, and learning to prepare for next time an active service member does a mission. Way too much on social media these days to make a buck.

Kyle, you're a fucking legend and I respect the shit out of you!! I'm a former 11B and wish we had more men of your caliber in the service...BUT can you and all the other operators please stop sharing tactics on the internet for bad guys and terrorist to take advantage of? You're basically giving free virtual training classes to terrorists... I wish you guys would leave the CQB and tactical stuff for the in-person courses..
@JR-wo3sn

You do realize that we trained al queda before 9 11 right. The stuff he's teaching, is very basic. Nothing about what he's teaching isn't already known. He's just explaining it well. Given you're an 11b, and you have very basic skills in cqb, you shouldn't worry about what he's doing. He's not teaching anything that isn't common sense.
@ICALLBS-tb2kx

@@JR-wo3sn @JR-wo3sn please reference where Delta was training Al Qaeda on CQB... If its already known then why are we putting it on KZbin? You don't know my experience with CQB or any schools outside of the military that I attended but I appreciate your attempt. Not teaching anything that isn't in common sense? If it's common sense then people wouldn't have to go through months long courses strictly on CQB .. But I'm sure you know it all. If you don't think there's a whole bunch of bad guys and weirdos watching KZbin getting ideas and training then you're naive as can be... And who really needs to clear a corner with a rifle unless your military or law enforcement?? Which in that case you actually have to go through the training... So again not really a need to share tactics on KZbin.

And by the way, I never stated delta, i stated we, as in the US, trained the taliban for years in most military tactics to fight the Russians. About 60 percent of those taliban became al queda. This is very basic history. If I had a dollar for every 11b that thought they were high speed....lol
