I just finished a CQB/NVG course. @21:40 you mentioned calming down and doing the job. It's interesting that this course I took, I heard more cadres say, "Dude, breathe. We haven't even sprinted. Take a breath". I found entering a room, then taking a deep breath, helped me scan just like you're suggesting.

@@starchykid yeah we’re a recce unit, so BD6 is not necessarily our bread and butter but as team leader I’ve been able to create occasional opportunities to go over these things and make some team internal SOPs for CQB. We don’t have many guys with knowledge on it, aside from the basic bs you learn in OSUT, so a lot of what I teach is simply coming from videos like this- and I’ll run it all by an old friend who was in regiment to make sure it checks out. But overall it’s frustrating how bogged down you get being tasked out for details, never getting to really train for you Job, if you’ve been in the big army you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Very frustrating.

Great job teaching and analyzing the movement of an sf-operator for us play by play. It takes High level of skill and training to be effective at this. I appreciate the run down a lot. The movements are starting to make sense. Couple of my thoughts: being fluent and cohesive with the team here is necessary. Everyone needs to basically be on same page and practically reading other teammates body language if need be. Proficiency requires adaptability. Awareness of teamwork is imperative. It’s very methodical and surgical movement. Very difficult thing to do. No one can be confused. I think one main opposing factor not mentioned is noise. Presence is known to enemy team when contact is made, stomping noise, gun fire, say “here I am” in average combat situations. Slowing the movement of team is perhaps safer depending on the situation. Indoors lead can penetrate drywall so excess noise can be very bad. Lastly Depending on the area, an outside window may be exactly where the enemy is. I’d say most of ww2 was fought outside the windows. The same with Ukraine. It’s not much indoors. Those situations are better to retreat the building entirely. All in all, while very beneficial, I Clearly see how modern combat movements adapted. And where DLRM is applicable. the swift room clearing DLRM strategy is definitely for hostage, swat, l.e., or nods type situations. Perhaps best with night, lower velocity and silenced firearms. Great video.

No hate, just talking about what I have seen sofar from the perspective of a coach potato :) 1) I just saw a CQB trained SWAT officer getting shot in the head on Police Activity because there was no room to stand left or right of the door but he had to come in 12 o'clock. All training videos always include doors with walls to hide behind left and right... Just a thought... 2) From Iraq, Ukraine and Gaza, we see that a warzone has buildings with 20 inches of rubbel on the floor making it hard to move fast and forcing soldiers to look down from time to time to not step on booby traps or stumble, as well as small and large holes in walls from which foes can peak through. I wish to see an instructor showing how to move in such spaces. 3) The IDF is trained to constantly shoot doors and windows during a raid from the second and third row and handing off the covering fire to the next in line when reloading or standing just in front of the very object so that no foe will peak the door or window. This is something that many other militarys around the world can learn from when it comes to CQB. Of course this only goes for objects you are certain that there are no hostages or civilians inside but goes to show yet again that reality is much different from shooting houses. I left such comment on an other instructions video already but got no reply. I wish I'd do and see such videos including beforementioned circumstances.

I hope UF Pro responds to comments like these. However, I think it's worth mentioning that these videos are for the very basic fundamentals.
@benene0556 ай бұрын
@@ExtraRice365 you are totally right with your point and obviously there is more to CQB than what we see in these videos but yeah, I would love to see these professionals showing us training under such circumstances just to get a glimpse of what they think and how they act. For me as a civillian it is just entertainment but I would like to see that anyways if they can somehow recreate such scenarios. Also, the video is obviously about movement inside rooms and corridors. It is not about getting inside a building in the first place (dont know how to translate to english but in Germany we call it "Häuserkampf") which is what I was referring to when writing about the IDF.
@joshuapoplin92106 ай бұрын
CQB training takes years to actually get good at. The only problem is human opponents that lie and wait in deep angles that you don’t see coming. Casualties in real world CQB is absurdly high without sending in frag grenade first. In US law enforcement when you can’t do that it’s a game of angles. Try to use them to your advantage. Regardless, if the person you are going after wants to die, he most certainly is either wounding some or at least taking one person with them. That’s the reality of CQB Also, in reference to that swat video I think you’re referencing they per NTOA standards are not a swat team. They are a tactical response unit. They don’t have the man power, explosive ability and are not set up for dual breaches. So don’t view that as a legitimate swat unit at the top level. That is on the “hardly” a tactical unit.
@Pearmesan6 ай бұрын
Hi, I saw that video as well. There were a lot of key details. Context: "On June 12, 2024, at 8:39 a.m., Ogle County law enforcement responded to a 911 call from a residence [REDACTED]. A family member reported that 32-year-old Jonathon Gounaris had threatened them and himself. The situation quickly escalated, prompting the deployment of the SWAT team and hostage negotiators at 9:18 a.m. Despite repeated attempts to communicate with Gounaris, there was no response from within the house. By 11:51 a.m., authorities made the decision to enter the home." 8:39 a.m. - Initial call 9:18 a.m. - SWAT team deployed 11:51 a.m. - SWAT team assault Sounds like a hostage situation right? We have "hostage negotiators" and family members reporting that they were threatened. Report: “There was nobody else in the residence. The family member that called was not at the residence. The suspect was in the residence by himself and we had that confirmed by the family member. We believed his intention was to harm police officers. That's the information the family member told us.” Okay, so we have one armed individual in a house by himself willing to remove the life from himself or others and more specifically law enforcement. So, what did SWAT do? >What did not happen ❌Deploy CS gas ❌Perform coordinated demolitions through either by hand or a SWAT utility vehicle (google "ROOK") ❌Consider a special exterior tactic such as a "takedown" or "ruse" (does not require entry) >What did happen ✅Surround the house for around 3 hours (what they did during that other than "negotiate" is unknown) ✅Perform dynamic entry on the front door > 3 Mistakes / Variables 1 - Choosing to make entry at all. This individual wants to kill you and likely wants himself dead, and he is practically considered to be occupying a castle. He has defenders advantage. 2 - Specifically choosing the front door. They always expect you to go to the front door. Furthermore, the front door was NOT optimal for a stack, due to the garage and fence. Based off of the video, I would have destroyed the flimsy fence to the right to have cover instead of respecting that barrier. 3 - Just bad follow up on breaching the front door, violating so many principles. >Remember, the consequences ending up being 3 SWAT members being hit by bullets (1 in the face), and bullets throughout the house and neighborhood. We may consider that those deputies may have been underfunded and therefore undertrained and that's probably the truth, but underfunded and incurring extreme and unnecessary costs and casualties don't mesh well... I think the truth is that they got extremely complacent and don't take their position seriously enough. Wish they made better decisions. 👍any question just ask

Hi, good video, I just have a question. When you are exiting from the room into the hallway, the no1 man goes to the far wall, however, no2 that covers his back only gets to the near wall and sets up there, until the no4 man taps him and THEN he gets across. I was wondering, why? Why not just go there immediately? Aren't you exposing no1's back to some angles from the hallway / deeper rooms? Thanks.

The comment section is just full of fanboys and wannabes and keyboard warriors. Guys dynamic CQB and room clearing is still effective and used a lot by professional special operations forces and LE. Limited entry tactic (I.E project ghecko) is also very effective and useful. In the end it’s up to the organization or the teams to set their SOPs and chose what to use and how to adapt based on their experience and training and rehearsals. For example I’ve seen videos of the US Ranger rgt combining both limited and dynamic entry methods in their training. So please chill and let the PRO’s do their work

You can KZbin 1000s of videos of cqb tactics and doctrine all you want. Have existed for years. As well as download many countries including USA military CQB urban doctrine and tactics. It's not that big of a secret. The big difference is how good are your individual skill sets with problem solving when utilizing them, team abilities and utilization and how human behavior reacts when bullets are flying. Tell you.the truth, when bullets start flying most doctrine goes out the window and it falls down onto the individual skill set and PID abilities. The tricky part is keeping your ooda loop ahead of the enemies or disrupting theirs. All I can say is good luck with all that because regardless, CQB is dangerous.
