❤ Very good you’re an excellent teacher. I love it that you do go fast through the parks it will be boring to watch you just stitch, but you still show us that you’re doing it and how you do it.

Stitching is when you take the interfacing and one layer of fabric Institute so that it doesn’t turn out and do the right side as in garment sewing when you see the stitching on both the top and the bottom that is topstitching. You certainly taught me a lot and I enjoy your videos very much❤😊

After you cut off the excess from the box corners, you can sew the 2 wrong sides together so your lining gets attached to the bag. Am going to try the chain piercing for sure though. TY

Wow. Fun. This takes me back to the mid-70’s when I made these as Easter baskets. I attached thin ribbons to tie corners up. Added grass and candies, etc. kids still have those. 😊 by the way, where did you get those drawing “chalks”?

Hi Tara, love your tutorials, got lots of ideas for my sewing business., I especially like to get new tips for bowl cozies since they are my best sellers. I love the gypsy quilter pre cut batting for the bowl cozies, saves me time. I was looking on their site and the roll of batting you showed has scrim, I was reading that the batting should not have scrim to be microwave safe, is that the case? Also thank you for the tips about using licensed fabric. It’s always a concern in making items. Great video. Happy Holidays! P
@ArtistTaraReedАй бұрын
I’ll double check about the batting -I thought they said I could use it - will report back! Happy sewing and hope you have the perfect amount of sales to stay busy but not overwhelmed (hard to strike that balance sometimes!)

My daughter, granddaughter and stepmother end up with what I make. I do not have one quilt that I've made. I made a red white and blue stocking for my machine at work last year since we make military boots. The plant manager walked by and ask where I got it I told him I made it. It now hangs in HIS office 😂😂
@ArtistTaraReedАй бұрын
Not everyone has the time or desire to quilt and what a compliment that your plan manager confiscated your stocking (I guess... hopefully he asked nicely first!) Merry Christmas!

I don't have fusible fleece - can I use insulbrite for the fabric tray?
@ArtistTaraReedАй бұрын
I just compared the thickness and it should work, or you could use regular batting. The main difference with substituting either of them for the fusible fleece would be movement since they aren't fusible. So I would recommend you quilt the fabric to the insulbrite a little before putting the tray together. Hopefully that makes sense. LMK how it goes!
@karlaloves2gardenАй бұрын
@@ArtistTaraReed Thank you Tara for your prompt response. I was able to get an Amazon order for delivery tomorrow of the fusible fleece you linked for this project. Thanks again so much and Best Wishes to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
@ArtistTaraReedАй бұрын
@@karlaloves2garden I'm so glad as I think having it fused will be better in the long run. I just took mine on a trip and used them to organize jewelry and other little things (someone suggested that in a comment) - loved it! Now my sister wants "non-fish ones please" 🤣 Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year as well!

Did you say to cut each of the four squares at 5-1/4”? Using a 1/4 inch seam allowance, that would yield 10 inches across. If you need 11 inches total, that would be 5-1/2 inches for each square plus 1/4 inch for the seam allowance, which equals 5-3/4 inches for each square.
@ArtistTaraReedАй бұрын
If I said 5 1/4” that was a mistake - your math is correct!
