Lava cakes are one of my favorites and I love the traditional Hostess flavor so for me this is a win-win. I also always appreciate how Hostess portions out the desserts and keeps the calories fairly reasonable !

As someone who is has a severe distaste for warm desserts/lava cakes, these clearly aren't for me. My dad however is the opposite; he'd probably like the chocolate ones. Maybe if they go on clearance like the Kazbars, I'll pick him up a box.

Nice review! I saw the double chocolate at a Meijer store in central Indiana. They didn't have caramel as of late March.

I typically don’t go for Hostess, however I will be definitely trying these. I love that the texture is soft and a gooey center. I’m glad they gave hearing instructions. Great review.

Oh how interesting! I've never seen any of these in any store before, and I was wondering if maybe they are a new product? And that's super cool that they sent you a free box to try. I think I'd like these cakes both warm and not. I actually like that bitter taste that Kevin talked about, but I also would like the warmed center. I haven't had a Hostess cupcake in several years. I used to eat 'em all the time as a kid, but... my favorite Hostess snack was a twinkie. ::LOL::
