@ErinaBearnova it's not that good , unless the deck is handtrap heavy. All those combos just to make your opponent lose 1 card isn't worth it.

Yup! It has multiple one-card (or one-card + 1 discard) starters, and can work through a lot of disruption. Both chimeras have in grave revive so breaking the board isn't as easy, and they also have an easy OTK. Not to mention that illusions being indestructible from battle helps against the tenpai matchup.

Its definitely not just that. One card rip, 1 negate, 1 targeting negate and can lock you out of spells. Also great follow up and 1-2 card pops ​@@bobbywalker2980

It’s because the deck is really good into Tenpai. People will continue to downplay it, though for good reason. The deck doesn’t do well going second, but in a format where you can count on going first, the deck can set up quite a few interruptions while playing through hand traps. Going second is rough though, like I said. You’re basically banking on Guardian Chimera (which burns a ton of resources) and Super Poly (which you may not draw) to do a ton of heavy lifting and even then it might not be enough.

It wasn't as satisfying as normally imo, because that Lab player was obviously dogwater. The Lab player didn't know that the Branded player had Ash Blossom, so after Retribution was used to grab Branded Fusion, the Lab player should've realised that he had a one in three chance to handrip it and that would've been that. This is like getting off on a Master rank player demolishing a Rookie 2 player.

The hate for lab is because they mainly win through floodgates. Not necessarily stuff like skill drain but more so cards like d barrier which are basically searchable and reusable in the deck
