The director(Chris Cooper)a fine actor himself and the editing allows things to unfold as they do in life. Bet many younger people find it all too slow. I feel a little sad for them. This is a VERY fine film on many levels.

I'm young and love this movie. To me, it's slow but you don't lose attention. Every scene is so immersive. Outstanding acting, cinematography, sound design, etc..

Spend some of that oil, eat a cheeseburger on the trip, and exercise your civil liberties to make the journey to see the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota. Read the inscription on the monument there, and hold close your own honored dead. Hold tight the living loved ones beside you on your journey.
