you could pick a few caterpillars up and put them in various enclosures if you want to get rid of them. but personally i would leave them all there. its nature and its doing its thing. they will become butterflies when they're ready and you will have a live viewing event of them hatching and flying around your garden :)

We have bird feeders all through your my back yard and also put out peanuts and blueberries for them. We also have a small water fountain and water dishes all over. We get like 20 baby birds using our chairs and table as a jungle gym and water dishes as pools. It’s really fun to watch. Then they lay in the sun and make themselves flat. I call it pancaking lol.

good to see your mom having a great time gardening and helping in growing the veggies. although I feel for the caterpillars. may I recommend to your mom to watch a great mini ecosystem vivarium series called "pantdora" from another awesome KZbin channel antscanada. to help her better understand the roles of these small species in our ecosystem. just kidding! I hope the plants recover fast. they look really beautiful on that arc. I so love the life you guys live in the farm house. really AWESOME! looking forward to the next episodes. ❤

oooh, gardening great for microbiome?! Well that is one more reason to garden with my daughter! Super cute quails!!! Did you know? Quail eggs are super nutritious, you need about 3 quail eggs to equal one chicken egg as they're much smaller, but gram for gram, vs a chicken egg, they have more protein, double the iron and one third more B12, and just higher vitamin content overall!

Love watching your vlogs. OMG..poor caterpillars, they will become butterflies right? which good for the environment? Hey you don't have tall fence near your Iguanas, some one can cut the wire and took the Iguanas. Love quail eggs. You should get Quail as well.
@chiyo90147 ай бұрын
Button quail are by far my favorite type of bird! I have been raising them for over 5 years. Unlike other quail they are monogamous. In an aviary that size there would probably be enough room for 2 or 3 pairs but only one would be best. They also need an extremely high protein diet. I use game bird chick feed 30%protein supplemented with seed and veggies as well as grit and cuttlebone for the females. I'm sure you did your research but please please don't do trial and error with these sweet unique birds.
@maxkopfraum7 ай бұрын
Getting rid of the catterpillars also means getting rid of a lot of future pollinators. You'll have to decide on a policy between optics and biodiversity/sustainable gardening. Also: How about a butterfly enclosure? :)
