I got to take a hot air balloon ride in Arizona, USA about 30 yrs ago. The basket was half the size/capacity of the one you all were in. Thrilling! I was most surprised by how silent it was. Not sure why I was expecting sound. Thanks for sharing your joy of this and letting me reminisce.

I went to Pamukkale ten years ago and I loved it! It was near the end of May so it wasn't that cold and my son and I had a dip in the thermal pools, a relief when you're out in the scorching sun!

The balloons sent the neighbours' Border Collie insane as she tore round the garden barking wildly at them 😂 The calcium deposits were weird and wonderful!

Feel dumb about this, it makes sense, but i didn't think it snows in Turkey. I didnt realize how high of mountains they get i guess i thought it was more like a Mediterranean climate. Pretty cool to go from snow to thermal pool in one day. Hot Springs/thermal pools are my favorite, i try to go to them if they have them were i travel.Did you all end up getting into the hotsprings eventually or was it too cold outside?

Yeah we were a little underwhelmed by the hot springs - some friends have made full videos on it, but we had expected a bit more from the place. Still epic, but only for 20 minutes or so... although maybe anything would have been a bit hard to compare after hot air ballooning haha
