Love the way you show what works. Australian summers we have to cover up while trying to stay cool, not easy, hat wearing is critical. While i am 5 foot, i am also curvy, be interested in seeing what coverage for instance high neck, low neck, sleeve length, style, slim or generous, where should sleeves finish, to flatter the outfit. I can sew, having this skill has allowed me to place fabric where needed, reduce fabric in other parts so my custom dress patterns skim my body instead of having to buy much larger sizes, which end up feeling and looking like a tent I am an apple.

Great advice. I’m a 60 year old 5’ Demi-petite apple shape. Very thin. My niche requirements + COVID means there are no clothes for me. Sold out, too youthful, too oversized, too much pattern. Maybe someday.

I like how even when you wear things that are more revealing, you still look classy. I really have a problem where I have trouble finding clothes that have nice necklines and flattering silhouettes but don't cause me to spill out of them. A lot of things I wear either look too frumpy or make it look like I'm trying to put it all out there when I'm not. It's really frustrating.

It gets really hot here in California, but is usually very dry, with relative humidity from 10-30%. We have had some really humid days here lately, the difference is incredible, it’s so much less comfortable. It reminds me of my one trip to NYC, when about 82F seemed so much hotter, I found out it was the high humidity. So, wearing natural-fiber fabrics is a must if the humidity goes up.

Great tips, Chi, thanks. I confess that I do wear those tent dresses at home on hot summer days, but I choose a more fitted one, or add a belt, when I go out. I have a perforated leather belt (white), that I like for hot days, it’s cooler than a solid one. My favorite summer fabric is linen, but it’s a pain to iron a lot when it’s hot, so I love a blend of linen and rayon/viscose. It’s even cooler and airier, but stays more presentable-looking during wear than pure linen.

Use a chaffing cream. The monistat and Mega babe are good ones. It makes your thighs just glide.

I agree that natural fibers are best in the heat, and I like a high percentage of natural fiber in my clothing in general. I went to your web store, Chi, and found that there is no information on the fiber content on anything you’re selling. That’s not going to work for me, unfortunately. I need to know what I’m buying. I have opposite problem with hot weather and I think people with thighs that touch will agree with me. Shorts and dresses in hot weather = chafing or bunching up in the crotch when you walk and would have to wear biker shorts type things under which defeats the purpose of trying to stay cool
