I’m new to spinning reels and have heard several KZbinrs say use braid on spinning reels to reduce line twist and backlash. But then others like Mr Martin say use mono for crankbaits.
@RolandMartinOutdoors

I often use braid with a 2-4 foot leader of mono or floro

Roland Martin Outdoors Do you still use a mono leader when casting into heavy cover?

One thing I've come to appreciate with you Roland is your patience. A lot of other anglers on youtube you can hear them get depressed or frustrated if they're not on the bite. I watch your videos with my kids because I want them to have your attitude for this sport.

Surprised that the 5 inch senko is the best selling, I'd have thought it was the seven inch. If you need a shorter senko you can always make it shorter.
@RolandMartinOutdoors
@RolandMartinOutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
The 7 inch senko is way fatter than the 5 inch and probably is 3 times larger in total volume than the 5 inch!

Thnx Teach......! How long are your leaders in front of those frogs and Senkos? How are they attached to your braid line? Swivel? Or just tied on? How would I tie a 20 pound leader to 65 pound braid? And how long?

Love Roland the Comic "I gotta friend" ie Gary Yamamoto. I do believe I've first heard that expression from Bill "Blooper" Dance~! It looks like prefer the cooler than a casting chair for more freedom of movement fighting the fish and getting around the boat. Really like learning your tips Roland and the way you teach~! By the way I feel your Helicopter lure inspired the designers of Spinker frog, and similar lures alike. See ya soon Brother ^5
