Warming, creamy and gently spiced with a hint of orange and a hit of rum. A delicious winter-warmer.

For the Batter (enough to make 10)
125g Butter
125g Dark Brown Sugar
125g Icing Sugar
225ml Double Cream
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Nutmeg

1 shot Rum
1/4 Orange

+Cat Foxx Oh Sydney? If we just leave her with food and a can-opener, she's just fine.... for a few days at least! JOKE ... our lovely neighbours Lou & Chris had her. They have a dog too - so we look after him when they're away sometimes. ... and LOVED Copenhagen so much fun... and food, and fun food! :)

I am not a big drinker and also used the base to make an amazing milky drink by dropping the orange juice and rum 😉😉😉

+Totally Sacha Im from capital city - Bratislava, so I recommend it, and also we have beautiful nature with mountains - High Tatras (Vysoke Tatry) and Slovak Paradise (Slovensky Raj) - these are two of my favourite national parks here :)

I've always wondered what Hot Buttered Rum was! Can you freeze the mixture in ice cube trays so they're portioned and ready to go whenever you want a drink? In America, HBRs get skipped over on a lot of holiday drink lists...but urs looks fabulous - as always!

+Crunchy Scott Thanks Scott... and eriely that's exactly what we discussed as we made it - yes, I reckon freezing them in ice cube trays would be great -though it's not quite a full dessert spoon (or in some of our trays) was more than one! So it may not be as helpful as we first thought... as it depends - of course - on the size of your cubes! Hahaha
