I agree with you. The brakes in many cars feel the same no matter what the price of the car, and especially at normal speeds. However, the performance and e.g. resistance to brake fade is much higher in brakes of a supercar. Carbon ceramic brakes will take a lot of abuse and still not fade. Normal brakes can't handle driving on a race track for multiple laps.

That's why I have driven on international race tracks with cars ranging from little Fiat to cars like LP670-4 SV, F430 Scuderia, and SLS AMG. The feel of brakes in USD 4,000 Fiat is at same level with brakes of supercars. If you don't believe me, you are more than welcome to Finland to experience it for yourself. Or go drive the cars for yourself!
