Good shim for an Underwood or any bridge wing pickup is a saxophone reed. Bari works great, probably tenor would too.

I toured with Wayne and Zack on that first US tour. (That's me on the left at Reggies in Chicago at 35:40). I was still in high school at the time, it was only my third or fourth tour, and I really looked up to Zack because of his intense passion for music. We had a lot of interesting times on that tour. I remember when we met up in San Antonio after he joined Jim Cullum, and I picked him up from a gig and we walked the River Greenway. Zack is a tremendous musician, and I'm glad to see that showcased.
