Unusual lyrics aside, the structured melody and synth-rich wall of sound was superb. I absolutely enjoyed the feeling of this song. It took me back to my childhood in the mid-80s, remembering my mum & dad listen to Tears for Fears, when they were still married. Thank you, song creator. Thank you.

You're more than welcome. Your intention may have been primarily to entertain, but your song really touched me. I can't begin to image the complexity of making the melody, all the harmonised vocals, and in the chorus at 1:45. I don't know what it makes me feel, but it's bittersweet.

You've really achieved something fantastic with this. It's so absurd and stupid and funny and ridiculous... and somber and meaningful and heartbreaking and strong. It makes me feel like I can carry on with my life WITHOUT Guy Fiere... even though I know I will never be the same, and I will be hurt forever, I can move on from Flavortown and I am happy to have had it, and Mister Fiere, in my life. If only for a brief, fleeting moment.

Guy Fieri, searching for someone, looking for something else Guy Fieri, losing your grip and nothing can break your fall What it meant, what I told you Why I was left in the dark When Guy Fieri came home And the hurt, when you ran away You left and it tore us apart When Guy Fieri Came Home Guy Fieri, reaching and stumbling, back on your feet again Feeling hungry, lonely and trapped in a world so impermanent Guy Fieri, memories fade, but you were my source of strength I wasn't ready, we were victims of change a feeling so strange, it won't go away Now you're here, and I'm sinking A fire that burns in my heart When Guy Fieri came home And it felt like a rainstorm And you became every drop When Guy Fieri came home It was the dishes that we had made together It was the dreams and the plans, from now 'til the last breath They were the pages that we had turned together And the nights that I hoped would last forever And ever And Guy Fieri drove until the tension unwound Exploring Flavor Town, the sights and smells all around You left the world behind, a son who wouldn't even know Just who you are, the frosted tips, your culinary crown It was the dishes that we had made together It was the dreams and the plans, from now 'til the last breath They were the pages that we had turned together You left me simmering, sautéed, ruined forever I just couldn't What would bring you home, Mr. Fieri I just couldn't What would bring you home, Mr. Fieri Flavor makes you whole It is in your soul, Mr. Fieri Flavor makes you whole It is in your soul, Mr. Fieri Mr. Fieri Mr. Fieri

This song hits deep. I get a hint of a tragic story of a young foodie couple who, for a significant period of their relationship, wound down stressful, hard working days by bonding and relaxing over Guy Fieri TV shows and/or recipes. Life was rough as they went through life's milestones together, but they had Guy Fieri. Eventually the couple has an emotional falling out and they move on with life with new partners and the man has a son years later with a wife who he has settled for and eventually divorces. Life is okay and he does try his best to share the legend of the frosted tip culinary crown with his son, but it doesn't really connect as well as he had hoped. The dad realizes that nothing compares to the love he had in his heart with his ex and the magical trips they took to Flavortown together every evening when they were younger and full of optimism. Being that his ex has moved on and is seemingly fine, he attributes his former happiness to Guy Fieri and decides to write emotional synthpop ballads about him. As he is sad and directionless with life, his only wish is that he can spend one more night watching Guy Fieri TV shows and cooking with his long lost ex as they smile and enjoy life and plan for a better future.
