Hans, your videos are amazing i know you put a lot of effort in making these possible and i hope you will continue uploading these for many years to come. The reason i like your videos so much is because of the way they are shot, how you engage us with your findings, giving information about the findings and on top of all that including your love for nature. In the past i hunted for treasures on a weekly basis here in the Netherlands but i enjoy your videos just as much as being there in the field myself. I salute you sir!

Great to see you again on another metal detecting day. I look forward to seeing you videos and learning more about the history of the areas and finds you come across. I live in Australia, so European items will on date back so far if they were lost or hidden in the soils due to white Europeans only being in Australia from the late 1700s. Andy

hello andy, welcome back on my channel and thank you for watching! I hope I get the permit to film on the excavation. I'm sure there are great finds to make in this historic area. you have to look at it this way: a find from the 1700s in australia equals a roman find in germany in therms of the historic value :) all the best, hans

TerraGermania. G’day Hans, Thank you for your reply. I enjoy watching your efforts and your informative talks and guests you speak with on your search and digs. My grandfather (dad’s father) used to go metal detecting too. I have his old metal detector now. I don’t know if it works as I only recently got given it from another family member. I will have to look it up again. It is from either the 80’s or 90’s. He was an amateur gold and gem prospector/fossicker and collector of many things. Particularly old bottles, he had a shed and a room full of old bottles. I would one day too like to buy a new metal detector and have some fun with it like my grandfather. Australia has some of the oldest human artefacts from our ancient indigenous aboriginal people have been here for up to 80 000 years. Thank you for your time Hans and I look forward to watching your KZbin channel TerraGermania. Andy

Hi Hans the clock winder at 13:44 looks like similar to a radiator air vent key, bleed key like we have in the uk.
@TerraGermaniaTG6 жыл бұрын
hello :) It could be a key for a radiators but it also fits for alarm watches and even drums from a drum kit :D it's a hard nut. thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts about the find!

It looks like you've had a bit of rain in your neck of the woods. Soil is hard rock here for detecting at the moment. Good video as always. Well done!

we have a concerning drought here in germany at the moment. the farmers estimate the crop failure to be up to 50%. . .we desperately need 2-3 days with strong rain. thank you for watching my friend!

Another great video Hans, hope you get down there with your detector when they start digging up the field. And that key looks suspiciously like a radiator valve key. Ken U.K.

Hans, Tuscany is a fantastic choice, I know it well. I suggest you to see Florence, Pisa and Siena, they are fabulous cities, very old and rich in history and works of art, just as we like it !!!

Good to see you again Hans; I hope you are having a great summer; I cannot believe they are going to develop that beautiful farm land it happens all the time here in Canada; the best land is used for subdivisions; someday we will learn; I look forward to your finds; congratulations on your roman coin; it was in great shape; all the best; someday it would be great if you could detect along the Rhine or Main Rivers

hello kevim, thank you my friend, It's a nice sunny summer. It's indeed sad to see beautiful land like that disappear under concrete. I'm not a fan of that! thank you for watching and for your kind comment!

Hans!!!! There you are! These finds were varied and nice to see...its too bad that such a nice wheat field is going into development but its also an exciting opportunity. I might not have mentioned this before but, its a nice choice to include sounds from the field in the detail shots of your artifacts. It really keeps you in the moment, like you are still standing there in the field....very nice. Love the dragonfly...haha. I think you are going to find more good things there and dont think for a minute that anything is boring...no, Sir. The summary of the musket balls was a nice touch. I think you might have gotten alittle too much sun on those broad shoulders.... yes, I was looking at your shoulders. Had to watch the video twice...😀 Be good, Take Care, Beste, Anna

Awwww... You missed my birthday. Bummer.
@TerraGermaniaTG6 жыл бұрын
hello anna, I know it's been a long time and i hope it won't take that long till I upload the next one. I like to have continuity of surrounding sounds but it is sometimes hard to realize as disturbing noises occur. I hate the intro part for example.. I didn't think that the mower in the background would be so loud in the video. you are right, I burned my shoulders that day and it looks weird now you can see the tank top outlines on my back :D thank you for watching and for your kind comment my friend. take care too and all the best, hans
