Thanks Mark! Glad to see my lefty Kramer 84 made it to you safe and sound. I know it’s in great hands. I’m looking forward to getting it back from you. Thanks again for making this near 40 year dream come true for me. I’ve always wanted a 5150 Kramer

The black Kramer is my twin brother's guitar. He's all excited about it. Take good care of him. Looking forward to seeing it when it's finished!

Mark, it occurred to me on the lefty Rhoads, aren't the inlays upside down? Like Jackson just uses the same necks on everything and just change out the nut to accommodate left or right handed. Makes sense for money and resources on the build, but do they always do that?

In 84 lefty was a custom order from Kramer

@@robbiestingle7640 yeah and i’m sure it was a big price hike for it,probably like $1500 for it back in 84 which would be like $3500 now i’m guessing

Thanks for the reply! I worked there then and was there. I think it could have been 950 but if it was early 84 you would have gotten a non tilt esp grail neck, halfway through the year it would have been a tilted lasido from Canada or sports from Connecticut. Either way it's better than the music yo headstock made in Indonesia. These gibson reissues pale in comparison. I build out of period correct parts, mostly 82 poplar bodies pin routered in Neptune NJ and really dig esp grail banana from 83 or pre grail banana from 79, especially the reverse . I also restore Kramers when I can find them, but after 85 they really went downhill. Thanks again and keep on rocking!

Thanks. This Black Kramer is mine. I still have my 86 Kramer that I bought new in January of 87, but it has a pointed headstock. EVH doesn’t make the 5150 in a lefty so when I saw this 84 reissue available for sale new, I had to get it and have Mark paint it for me😬
