HOT FILIPINO MUD BATH | Strangest Lake In The Philippines?

Ever had a mud bath? How about one by a strange sulphuric mountain lake? Yup, here in Kidapawan North Cotabato that is exactly what happened!
Lake Agco is full of lush green vegetation, and sits right underneath the tallest mountain in the Philippines... Mt. Apo.
In this video you will see us adventure up away from the city into the mountains. Beautiful nature, locals transporting goods to the city, a hot Filipino and Canadian mud bath, and mysterious beautiful vibes! This area of South Central Mindanao is wonderful!

I love how this has been set up, you get to look around the vendor stalls while stretching your legs after the trip and also get to experience the mud lake without 100 vendors vying for your attention, this is the kind of tourist destination I can really get behind.

You are right about the sulfuric smell @ 6:20, because below of that curve of the road you will find several sulfur vents. And that's also the gateway to Mt.Apo summit via kidapawan trail.

my family visit there once in a while. really cool and calm place. its good to visit during weekdays when there's not so many people going there. staying overnight at their resort where there are several pools, small and big pools with hot, cold and sulfuric water to choose from. thank u kulas for sharing. Wow, roads on the way to Mt. Apo are already well-paved and cemented unlike in 1982 when we first climbed that mountain via Kidapawan and Brgy. Ilomavis. Back in those days,as far as I can remember there was only a solitary sari-sari store and not a single house in sight at Lake Agko. We got the chance to swim in the lake and even boiled an egg in the hot water with the strong smell of sulfur. The funny part was when I delved into the lake I felt its cold water but all of a sudden I felt and intense warm water running through my body. You can't distinguish where's the boundary line between the cold and hot waters in the lake!

This is so cool, Kulas. It reminds me of the couple of times that I have been to Mt. Apo. Did you know that when there was no geothermal plant yet, this was the first stop if you climb Mt. Apo via the Kidapawan trail? The use of geothermal energy and the emission of heat from the earth actually prevents volcanic eruption as the heat gradually comes out and is not bottled up. Had you gone higher up the mountain, there is Lake Venado and you could actually proceed to the crater/mouth of the volcano and camp there. It is a very cool and awesome experience. Mother nature at its best. Thank you for featuring it.
