Your gardens are looking as beautiful as ever! I am so glad most of your plants adapted pretty well from the change of conditions after those large trees were taken down. I always enjoy your tours. Thank you.

You have such an eye for your thumbnails, so beautiful. The contrast of the lambs ears is so amazing. It makes me want to plant more.

I love the way your Lamb's ear looks 😍 mine always looks sick and sad .I'm going to give it some granulated fertilizer this year and see if that perks it up .

The Lamb's ear always looks tough at the start of each season and I am amazed that it fills in as much as it does. I am waiting for the year when it starts to look sick also. Thanks for watching and good luck with your Lambs ear.

Everything looks so good! Thank you for sharing. I’m curious if the cicadas bother your plants? We don’t have them in my area.

They don't seem to bother any of my plants. Thanks for watching.

Beautiful as always! I love the variety of plantings you have, the artichoke is stunning! I winter sowed blue fescue grass before realizing how shady our acreage is (new move). How many hours of sun do yours get? Thank you so much for great inspiration!
@floralnhardy7332 Жыл бұрын
That area gets about 4 hours of afternoon sun right now, but dappled sun throughout the rest of the day. I am surprised it has remained that steely blue color. Thanks for watching.

Sussie my hydrangeas that are supposed to turn pink , just turn brown directly 😢 Perhaps because I just put them on the ground this year? They're babies. You mentioned yours are 9yrs old. Were yours always turning from white to pink since the beginning?

I meant to write my reply under your post, but somehow I messed that up...😂 Scroll up to my reply and it will explain a bit about Hydrangeas... Hope this helps..🌺

Not sure which, zone you are in, but being a Northern climate, mine do turn pink and then a darker pink when the nights get really cool. I have some that are browning due to the drought we were in and not watering either. My Bobo hydrangeas never turned pink last year, so I will see what they do this year. Eventually, most of mine will turn pink at some point. I am not sure when I first planted my hydrangeas 9 years ago, if they turned pink the first year, but I am pretty sure the following years they did. I am finding out that I should be a bit better about watering my newly planted hydrangeas a little more often for the first few years to get them better established. Up until a few years ago, I never had to water anything. I always had so much rain in the growing season, that I had issues with my plants turning yellow due to so much rainfall. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Beautiful garden! May I ask how many hours a day those beautiful hydrangeas get sun? Mine are flopped after rain and never come back up. I prune hard last spring.
@floralnhardy7332 Жыл бұрын
My hydrangea hedge gets about 8 - 10 hours of sun, but for the first few years, they always flopped when we got a rain. Little limelight is really bad about that. The last 2 years I haven't pruned them very hard and they seem to not flop. That being said, I have had maybe 5 days of rain this year. In a rainy season, I think they would flop. The flower heads are so huge and hold a lot of water. The rest of my Hydrangeas get about 6 hours of sun and they flop in a rain. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Thanks for watching.

My hardy hibiscus stopped budding/flowering the other day & there are no more coming..any thoughts on why? Yours is still going strong & beautiful! Stay cool! This heat-wave is halfway over!
@floralnhardy7332 Жыл бұрын
I have 3 hardy hibiscus in my gardens. They set their buds and they bloom for a day and when all the flower buds have bloomed, they are done for the season. Berry Awesome Hardy Hibiscus bloomed first and is now done blooming for the season, then Starry Starry Night Hibiscus, which still has some flower buds. Unfortunately, those were not blooming for this tour. The red hibiscus is blooming later because I moved it at the end of June. I am surprised it even put on flower buds for this season. I think this is why it is blooming later than my other ones. They definitely need more water than other perennials in my gardens. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

You said your vanilla strawberry is 9 years old, how large is it? I just planted three recently and wondering if I give them enough space or not. Thank you.

Hydrangeas need cool temperatures to start turning shades of pink. I'm in Michigan, Zone 6 and I have many different types/cultivars in my garden and each are at different stages of colors....From snow white, lime green, cream colored, mauve, and my little quick fires are almost red... They're all beautiful though! I love them! Hope this Helps 🌺
