Thanks for the review, as I’ve had my HLM for a while & love it. Only learned about the other one yesterday beginning reviewed by a flight attendant who didn’t review everything you did. I have a 12v socket plug on my HLM (cord tucks nicely out of way into pocket on back) and often cook raw vegetables like zucchini or broccoli florets in with some sort of precooked meat & it’s ready in 45 minutes. Recently I’ve been experimenting with cooking raw chicken thighs since it gets up past safe range in temperature (160°F) & cook for at least 1hr 45 min (but I do 2.5 hrs at least). I like that this new kind has a timer ⏲ on it & wonder if it too gets up to those safe temperatures. I guess I should bring one of those needle meat thermometers to poke the meat.

one ration reviewer I watch has used his HotLogic to eat the food pouches from rations he reviews. he has the small and large sizes. his small one finally crapped out.these would be great for travel or use in places where you can't heat food with normal methods

What setting did you use for the spaghetti? I’m looking at getting one but keep reading that you should not use plastic containers. My meal preps are in plastic containers and didn’t know how to still keep my food in original package

Apparently there are old and new models of the SabotHeat. Both are referenced in the "show more" notes above. The older model has no settings; it seems it is 40 watts of power only. The newer model has multiple settings. That must be the one you have your eye on.

@@jamesvoigt7275 well I took one for the team. I purchased one and used a plastic container and put it on setting 2 for an hour and it was hot but not scorching hot. Just right. Probably could put it on level 3 if you want it really hot. Everything was warm all the way through. Definitely a fan!!!!

@@OC-vu2sl Glad to hear it went well for you. Plastics do vary a lot in their heat tolerance, and I can understand the reluctance of the manufacturer to make a blanket statement that plastics are suitable. Somebody somewhere would end up with a disaster and sue the company. You proceeded with prudence and were rewarded. Now others can learn from you, hopefully proceeding with prudence as well.
