When this song first came out, people said that Mamamoo has lowered their level, making a song more pop-song like(matching the crowd's taste). But this proved that their strategy is correct. This can be acknowledged from their performances in Immortal Songs (a show where singers/groups compete against each other through covering songs; a show popular among all ages, esp. elderly), for example, Passion Flower and Wait a Minute. And their names have also been mentioned many times in the famous show King of Mask Singer (a show where the audience and judges have to guess who is the singer behind the mask based solely on their singing abilities). Hosts of the show even stated that, "If the person is a good singer, then it must be ____ from Mamamoo" despite the fact that none of the Mamamoo members have appeared in the show yet. Moreover, many people, even the hosts of the show themselves, are actually recommending them to appear. Mamamoo is also well-liked by fellow idols, e.g. Hyuna, Hani, Zico, and even seniors, e.g. Baek Ji Young, Im Chang Jung, K.will tl;dr: yup, they're getting popular even among non-kpop people and all age groups

Mamamoo has this great effect on all fandoms. I haven't to then after Piano Man, I used to blast that song all day long but then I started to listen to other groups more and kind of forgot how amazing Mamamoo is.
