My dad is around the same age as you and he’s also into more old school stuff, got him to give them a listen in January. Now they’re one of our favorites to listen to together and we’re going to see them for the third time this year in about a week. Never too old for good music 🤘

It was “Equip Sunglasses”for me…that and The Wonder Years “came out swinging”. Those were two modern pop-punk/post hardcore bands that got me back into the scene. I was still jamming new found glory, old TBS and Brand New, until I stumbled on these guys on a random Spotify playlist.

i still think it would sound better if it was in minor key/minor scale. The happy, upbeat major-sounding instrumentals don't match with the gruff, pained vocals and heavy lyrics...
@cyrusnichols79448 күн бұрын
@@-jank-willson I mean that typically is the approach for these kinds of songs but some of my favorite songs I love because of that contrast (e.g. Bullet by Hollywood Undead)

I actually saw these guys a few days ago play live. I had no idea who they were and I just stayed in the back of the venue until they started playing. They sound AMAZING live and I was so mad at myself for not knowing about them earlier. If anyone has the chance to check them out live, please go. I promise you won't regret it.

Same happened to me a couple weeks ago they was on tour with a New Found Glory an I went late to the concert because my main focus was NFG and I heard their last song live and I start checking out their music on Spotify the next day and I was so mad of myself because I just had missed a great band to see live.

When I first heard of them and checked their tour dates it was literally the day after they were in my city I wanted to cry so bad and I almost flew my ass to a different state to catch the next show but couldn’t because I had to move the next day smh

This is the kind of song that helps by bringing things to the surface. I naturally repress a lot of problems I have with myself and go about life normally. But then I hear a song like this and realize I’ve been ignoring a lot of my issues without even realizing it and it forces me to face them and let me know to work on them.

So scared that you don’t want me here In the corner of your living room Reading subtitles cause I can’t hear The show you put on for noise While you’re laughing in the kitchen Pouring drinks over ice And I am not the type To go out every night Cause I just need some time To know what’s wrong in my head Pulling out the pages that I wrote for you hoping you don’t think that I’m dependent Cause I know the truth Might be Too much I’m not enough. I’m always disappointed in the things I write Even when I speak it seems the words don’t ever come out right. Coping alone. Just bring me home. Heard it happened again Another friend said “marry me” While unknowingly sat unaware of the life he wanted I’m glad none of our parents stayed together I hate to be a bummer but I’m 3 more beers From calling a cab So I can sleep to shake this dread I won’t wake up Unless you ask if I am okay. Just bring me home. Just bring me home I don’t want to talk on the balcony Just wanna drink until I kill what’s gotten into me. Just bring me home Just bring me home. And I just need some time to know what’s wrong with my head.
