I just realized something. Hot Ones and Sean caters to the guest, and not panders to the audience, and it's that interaction between the interviewer and the guest that we are being presented. Typically, the audience is presented with the questions to the guest, to questions we want to hear the answers to. Hot Ones is so successful because we are given what the guest wants to answer, via research from the Hot Ones team, thus we are really being presented the conversation between guest and interviewer.

I've said this a million times hot ones is the best example of humanizing Hollywood and media personalities. Instead of showcasing the host with jokes it's just questions showcasing these people with hidden likes and dislikes they genuinely look like they're having fun despite the name sake of the show. I've always kinda thought talk shows make actors and famous people in general look like stiff boards the only reason you see these people outside of articles is when they have something to promote but hot ones does a great job of doing both while also just making them seem like humans beings living their lives.

I want to be interviewed by Sean so I can find out more things about myself.

The genius of Sean Evans is he asks questions with a genuine, heartfelt curiosity of hearing the answers, not just asking questions to get a soundbite. I hope to one day be famous enough to be interviewed by him.

What makes this show and its questions so interesting is that the questions will never be based on 'criticism', the almost interrogation styled journalism you find somedays. It's just meant as a bit of fun, getting to know what your guests like based on thorough research. I feel like people open up way more to what they find fun because of the nature of the questions - instead of just getting simple yes or no answers all the time. The First We Feast team really got their shit together and it's probably my favorite celebrity interviews on the internet. Kudos!

Sean introduced the mainstream internet to the Eat A Booty Gang in Trick Daddy's interview, and things have been a little weird ever since.
