I don't know about 'rip off' really. There are a LOT of actual rip-off attempts where the whole point is the hot wings. There is room for more than one food-based interview channel, and both hosts are great so I'm just happy that the concept is a winner.

Don't ever change mr. Roker. Been watching you since I was little with my mother and your weight loss back then has inspired me to lose weight myself recently since I rediscovered you on hot ones. Being a bartender nowadays and working late unfortunately makes me miss your morning show. Although, your hot ones episode is def part of my top 3. Hope to meet you sometime in this lifetime to shake your hand. Keep it up and def use less mayo next time.

I would understand it with a hamburger or hot sandwich (even though depending the sandwich I would use mayo anyway) but I thought Mayo on a cold cut sandwich was pretty standard....it is here in the midwest at least. You know, these days a lot of the younger generations are favoring online media rather than traditional. Here we have a personality from the TV medium and one from the online medium that really mesh well together. What I'm trying to say, you could put these two in a show and hit a home run.

I get that. His personality is kind of like that, if that's what you're referring to, but he seems enthusiastic. If it's because he doesn't seem to like wings or thinks it's kind of a weird thing, there's more to that. He's said in other interviews they were basically trying a lot of things, so far as content, and this is what stuck. So, I think that's a kind of self-aware irony. I think he's nervous too. The thing is though, I kind of need that with Al Roker. I've enjoyed him from since I was pretty young, but it's like he does lines of coke between cuts. I think they kind of balance each other out.
