The cute expressions weren't over the top and she still gave that sassy look you're looking for during chorus. It made me curious what she would do next. As for Boeun, she gave blank expressions for the most part and only gave a little personality. What she did in her first few lines, she did all throughout the rest of the performance.

First off they both did good! Second there is nothing wrong with Boeuns facial expression. Not every song needs exaggerated cute facial expressions. Some times it can take away from the performance or doesn't go along with the song at all. And there was nothing wrong with boeuns expressions, it went well with the song.
