Just tried your recipe for Christmas! It was amazing. My family has never tried Yao Han before. And now they're requesting it again! Growing up I haven't had a lot of chances to learn Cambodian recipes but I am glad you are sharing your Cambodian cooking recipes. Definitely bringing me closer to our Cambodian culture. Thanks!

Growing up and watching my mom making yahon was interesting . However, recently, I am learning that some people would like to mix coconut cream &coconut soda-- interesting! I don't remember my mom using coconut soda but it's been recommended. But, I guess some people uses different ingredients and somehow the result turn out similiar, or yet, the same.☺ One day, I hope to share with you the common Cambodian foods that my family and I grew up eating at home😉 Thank you Elissa for the tips!

Can you make a thick side sauce for the yao hon? I like my soup to be beefy without the sauce inside. I like your ingredients and think a side sauce like peanut sauce they use for spring rolls would be great.

People will always cook the same types of food but with a style of their own. Make it how your mother does then.
