Fun fact the (very good) 2017 Ducktales series spends a not insubstantial amount of time on the moon and uses several arrangements of the moon theme for it (it’s arguably a certain characters theme). Uses it really effectively, too!

I nearly died laughing during your first attempt at "Roof Top Jumping" in Crash 'n The Boys. It was like a really dark sequel to Cool Runnings; "Cold Runnings: Nobody Walked Away".

Launchpad was pushed into a couple Disney Afternoon shows. He was mostly featured in Duck Tales, as well as the movie. But also became a sidekick in Darkwing Duck.... I thought he made cameos in Tale Spin as well... but, I guess not. I remember seeing the Duck Tales movie in the cinema when I was a kid. Same goes for Ghostbusters II. I saw Ghostbusters II in the theatre when I was 8... and to be honest. I loved the movie as a kid. Because it was 'more' Ghostbusters, and that was all I cared about. But it's a movie that I feel mixed on at later viewings. But... there are things I still like about it. I also had the soundtrack on cassette. The game... yeah... it has that 2600 vibe to it.

I had Captain Comic for DOS! Like a year ago I watched a full playthrough and found out I actually had gotten to the last level back in the day. Was also shocked to learn this as I also learned the enemy patterns & placement was straight up bullshit. I’m amazed I got that far

Oh weird, We had Captain Comic for MS-DOS growing up I had no idea they ever did a NES version. in the DOS version Captain Comic is a recolored SMB Mario sprite with a motorcycle helmet added which I guess they felt was beyond the pale even for an unlisenced NES release. The MS DOS version, as I recall, is a bit slower paced with fewer enemies on screen at once which I feel like makes it the better experience, but that could be abject nostalgia.

By the Omnissiah, I remember all these games; I remember seeing some of them in Nintendo Power when the issues were new 😂 And even back then, Ducktales really felt like a departure from/more expansive most NES games. Which was kind of surprising back then, because I hadn't expected CAPCOM to put so much effort in to it.

Heck yeah, love to see Crash n' the Boys in the top 50. Definitely one of my favorite Kunio-Kun games on the NES. I don't think the Ice Challenge game advertised in the ending ever got released in the US, but it is also a fantastic game.

Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge is my NES guilty pleasure. I understand it's just button mashing, I understand it's just an Olympic-style game, I understand it's probably not a good game (I haven't gotten to the official Science rating, so I can only speak from my heart). But if you ask me for a Top 10 NES games list from me...I'm not putting this on there, are you kidding? But a Top 20 NES games list, I can find room for Crash 'n his Boys. Crash, for me, is like The Legend of Kage for Jeff. They're not good, but they're still good. Edit: Top 50? Hot damn, that made my day. Maybe it's not a guilty pleasure after all.

I looked up that DuckTales sequel: it came out in 1993, and cartridges are extremely rare- I saw an Amazon Marketplace listing where the seller was charging $700! Somehow I don't think it's worth spending that much on it.

Launchpad McQuack is not from TaleSpin, that show was anchored on Baloo the Bear from The Jungle Book as a pilot. Launchpad was created for DuckTales and later showed up on Darkwing Duck. Despite the confusion, I think your dislike of him is warranted in any case, if only for his dumb name.

There's a completely different Ghostbusters 2 game by HAL Labs called New Ghostbusters 2, which is very very good. It 'only' came out in Europe and Japan so nobody talks about it that much.
