Hotshots Diesel Extreme cleaned a bunch of crap out of my fuel system that I have been using Power Service Diesel Kleen in since 2012. Clearly the Diesel Kleen wasn't doing it's job at all. There is a noticeable difference in mileage and power after using the Hotshots. I'm sticking with the Hotshots EDT now for daily fuel.

I’ve used diesel kleen for many years, never had a problem, as far as water in your diesel, buy from a place that sells a lot of diesel and you won’t have a problem, I knew you were biased at the beginning from the edt banner in the background of your video.

Just picked up some Hotshots Diesel Extreme, and the stiction eliminator. The truck was having hard start issues this last winter and when it did start it would run rough for a bit and puff white smoke out. I did an oil change, replaced the fuel filter and used both the Hotshot oil and fuel additives. I am definitely impressed. The truck is an old beat up rust bucket 2002 Ford 7.3 with 285k miles. Man what a difference these products have made on this truck. The trucks runs smoother, fires right up in the morning without hesitation, and no more white smoke. I will be keeping these products around for as long as I'm running this truck.

I was told by a seasoned diesel mechanic that Howes diesel treatment does just as good as in his words "all the expensive crap on the market." Iv used hotshot religiously for a few years. I'm in the works of trying Howes and so far so good. I think he's right it works just as good. Diesel keen is good stuff for sure but it is priced a little high. Give Howes a try you can get 64oz for $9 but thats around my neck of the woods. It might be the same most places I'm sure.

Howes is good. I tried all 3 on our now sold Duramax. 2011 full emissions. Seemed to do way more regens on Power Service Gray bottle than the other 2. Also, I'm certain I over-dosed the EDT at first.

I used diesel kleen and EDT on my Harley 6.0 didn't notice any difference with the EDT the diesel kleen I felt it right away helped my injectors instantly within the first drive but hotshots oil additive kicks ass for sure

Power Service is lying about their product. How can the 1 quart bottle treat up to 100 gallons and the 1 gallon jug (4 quarts) treat up to 1,000 gallons? How can the white bottle treat the same amount of fuel and still have anti gel properties. Opti-Lube is the best period.

I got the hotshot extreme and then the EDT in the little 4oz shot bottles a 24 pack. I’ve also tried 2 stroke oil and diesel kleen in my old truck a long time ago. Might try those again.

You paid about the most you can for powerkleen. I buy this stuff by the case and getting 80oz bottle for $15.99. Just last night I bought a case of 6 for $95. Treats 250 gallon with 80oz. I'll put a double dose one bottle in each tank on a fill-up and it makes my W900L Kenworth C15 NXS kittyCat purr like a kitten with a full tummy. I try to stay with full petroleum diesel and like to mix marvel mystery oil, half bottle in each tank. Helps to lube upper cylinders sleeves and injectors. I also run an air dog with hored out fittings with a reverse fuel flow through head for a positive fuel pressure that eliminates cavitation in the injectors. I also run 118 PSI fuel pressure. Putting down 650 horses and 2000lbs/ft torque. Run synthetic 15w40 with nmf oil additive. My brother uses powerkleen in his 2014 Freightliner cascadia DD15 and has no more DEF soot issues and has virtually eliminated his regens.

Every time you buy anything in singles it's always more expensive. I buy them in a case of 12 32oz $85 dollars. $7.08 a bottle. You get 2 tanks per bottle that's only $3.54 per tank.

I used Hotshots in my 06 dodge with the Cummins...never had a problem with that truck. Just sold it and bought a 2019 With the HO motor. Will the Hotshots be safe for it with all the emmisions crap?

Lol. Diesel Kleen is crap. The 1 quart bottle says it treats up to 100 gallons. The one gallon jug (4 quarts) says it treats up to 1,000 gallons. Also, the white bottle has the same mix ratios. How can it offer anti-gel protection while also maintaining the same cetane and lubrication properties with the same size dose? Might as well let your money blow out the window.

Performance dose is 2 ounces per 25...... so you really only need 2.4 ounces per 30 gallons of fuel at their performance doze.

I’m going to start using the EDT in my diesel powered 2018 BMW 328d. After it gets out of the shop that is. At 55K miles the high pressure fuel pump destroyed itself sending metal shavings throughout the entire fuel system. Thankfully between the extended warranty and BMW I will pay nothing. Would have cost around $11,000 otherwise.

How do you think that hotshots edt would affect a common rail that has 250,xxx miles on it? I know they are known to have injector issues. Trash in it could cause them to fail. Was wondering if it could loosen up gunk and cause an issue.

Yes but I would does it first with diesel extreme And then do a maintenance with the EDT with every fill up. Hope this helps.

Not a fan of hot shots secret. Seemed to gum up the exhaust on my hotshot truck. Switched to diesel kleen, milage went up, truck exhaust got louder since it burned the crap out of the system that had been built up by HSS. Howes is pretty decent as far as lubricity, and one of the best anti-gel additives. VP makes an additive too that was like snake oil for the 6.4 powerstroke. Completely eliminated stiction in 20 miles…
