One of my favorite jokes in the movie is very subtle and often overlooked. Don't worry it's not most people's fault as they haven't seen the movie it's based off of but here it is. The scene in the oval office where the president almost kills his wife and then asks for her to be interrogated etc. the Secret Service agent that busted through the door ready for action is supposed to be a play/joke/homage to Nicolas Cage's character from Guarding Tess - Which also double makes sense considering the movie is about the Secret Service protection of the first lady. Another good movie by the way if you ever decide to check it out :-) Also sidenote the gummy bear's gummy bears/sprinkles sprinkles scene is absolutely hysterical and one of the best jokes in the film. That's the thing there are so many jokes/gags in this movie it's why I actually think that this movie is funnier than airplane but that's just my opinion don't kill me on it guys lol

Great Reaction. 24:49 they were both in Wall Street, but this boat was a reference to one of the Craziest films ever made, Apocalypse Now. If you watch it, I recommend The Final Cut. It's 3 hours, but it's an insane psychological horror movie through the eyes of a mentally disturbed Vietnam soldier, based on Classic Literature.

Benson SCUBA diving under the river patrol boat and giving a monologue was right out of a sixties TV series Lloyd Bridges starred in called Sea Hunt. Bridges' character was a professional diver and every week there was something going on that needed him to help, and there was always a monologue for the audience. Bridges started out as a serious actor (as did Leslie Nielsen) but later became known more for his comedy (as did Nielsen).

Legit (for me) the funniest parody/satire I've ever seen. I still remember going to the theater for this and people nearly choking to death on popcorn/whatever and drinks while watching this. It's just top tier stuff. Easily on the same level as Airplane! and other great comedies like that. EASILY. The only problem with this movie is that the jokes come so fast, without stopping the entire movie, it can get tiring and hard to get through it. But man, it's so good.

Benson barfing was a reference to when President George W. Bush vomited on Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa in 1992 Ramada asking Topper to kiss her like he's never kissed her before and her goodbye letter was a reference to Casablanca There was a big Terminator 2 reference in there... I won't spoil it. Seems you haven't seen it. If you want to see another good spoof movie made by this same director (and the directors of Airplane!), check out "Top Secret!"

Both Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen starred in movies set during the Vietnam War. Charlie Sheen was in Platoon, and Martin was in Apocalypse Now. Both these movies had dubbed narration from the characters. In this movie, when Topper was going one way with his inner monologue, like Charlie did in Platoon, it got crossed with Martin's Apocalypse Now character's monologue. Then, when they took notice of each other, both Charlie and Martin Sheen were in the movie Wallstreet.
