The cgi really still holds up incredibly well. Its kinda sad that cgi peaked with Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean. Almost 20 years now and its hard to say if ive seen better.

​@@83519I can see where your point is very validated, especially on Davy Jones..the motion capture,the way the tentacles moved as it was just as sentient as the character that played. they literally took "a coffee stain" as complex as it was and made a pallet for color base,and ran with the design aspect. very practical and meticulous. And I'll say Avatar wasn't bad either,but the second movie in my opinion was definitely better,the skin color, dialogue,even muscle movement 😁 top notch..

These were great as a kid, silly and fun but not enough transformers action. The arc that Optimus went through was pretty crazy though. He got more ruthless and also grew to distrust most humans. Saying "let's find out" and ripping off Megatrons head was badass.

This movie brings a lot of Gen 1 lore into the Bayverse. In the original show, the Ark was the ship that brought the Autobots to earth. It's appearance is much like in the original, except grey and on the moon instead of crashed into the base of a volcano. A large portion of the plot of this movie comes from the three-part adventure that concluded the first season of Transformers. The fact that Sentinel Prime was voiced by Leonard Nimoy made me instantly suspicious, given his previous association with the franchise.

Chernobyl is an HBO series…. If you want to appreciate what was going on at that time also watch the hbo original movie Pentagon wars, and research the Challenger Explosion…. Pentagon wars IS highly fictionalize but there was a very intense internal scandal about waste in military R&D that the movie is based on….
