Great video as always sir, caught myself a nice 7” bluegill out of a local pond over the weekend. I keep thinking about what you’re teaching in these videos and trying to put that into effect.
@FishYanker7 ай бұрын
Yes sir. Hopefully some of the tips will help in your area. Don't forget to try your area different times throughout the day just to see when the best bite is. Here sometimes it's in the morning and most of the time it's in the evening when it's hot but be careful and don't get too hot 🥵 out there. Shade and plenty to drink. Hope you catch some good ones.

Another good day on the water! That gar made me think of my Grand daddy, after he finished cussing he would hit them in the head with the paddle.😂
@FishYanker7 ай бұрын
Yes Sir Thank you. Yeah I think a bunch of Gar got paddle whooped back in the day. 😂
@TNAROHfan6 ай бұрын
My grandpa would take all the Gar he could get. I've seen guys cut them and use them for bait, but the old man would take it a step further and grind them up and mix them with cereal and all the gore and set that stuff out to basically rot. Then he'd make them into doughballs and he'd catch the heck out of Catfish. I've thought about it every time I have hooked or seen someone hook a gar for the last 20 years. Miss you grandpa.

@TNAROHfan yes Sir, our grand parents definitely had all the know-how to catch fish and survive. no doubt about it 😊

@FishYanker7 ай бұрын
Thank you. Some fish I clean to whole fry and some I scale first then Fillet them I have a simple 6 inch fillet knife and a old timer electric fillet knife. I like a spoon to knock the scales off with. A Table spoon is my go too. 😂

How late do you fish during this heat, me myself, as long as I can stand it, folks planted so much rice this year, we getting a double dose of skeets,
@FishYanker7 ай бұрын
Same here as long as I can handle it. I actually stayed longer than I need to if they're biting good. As far as mosquitoes they're about three times worse than it was last year. 🦟 😳
@clayton2037 ай бұрын
@@FishYanker absolutely they are, and the evening is way worse than the mornings, better have some spray is you land to fish till dark, you wouldn’t be able to get the boat on the trailer, hahahahahah

Sometimes I have to spray soon as I get out of the truck. They will attack you on the boat ramp. 😬

@@FishYanker Nice LOL! The last time I went night Crappie fishing, the mosquitos literally chased me off the water. I couldn't stand it. I felt like they just laughed at the Off I was putting on. I'm seriously considering a portable bug zapper.
@FishYanker6 ай бұрын
😂 I understand. There is no way I would go night fishing here. I have thought about it but I know better so I get out of there as soon as I have to. The fishing probably would be great at night if the mosquitoes would leave us alone.
@clayton2037 ай бұрын
How often do you run into them jumping fish,
@FishYanker7 ай бұрын
Every once in awhile. I run into a lot more of them when I fish the White River. Cache River don't seem to be quite as bad.

@clayton203 wow 😳 that is huge. I would be gunshot too. I wish they would commercial fish them. It would cut down on some of the big ones if they would put a bounty on them.

That would be cool. Yes sir, It used to be the only way I fished but I had to figure out other ways when fishing the cache River swamps. I like the swamp a lot because of the shade. I can hide from the sun.🌞 😂
