I've been through countless headsets and headphones (mostly because im an audiophile not because i dont take care of them lol) and even though there are much better sounding headsets I might as well be attached to the hip of my alpha wireless when it comes to most activities lol. The comfort plus absurd 300hr battery life is just too nice. It has an AWFUL mic but i just use a desktop mic anyways.

The mic sounds good but the attack and release on the noise cancelation sounds like it cuts the first 1/8 second and last 1/8 second off of each of your phrases. Probably fixable in firmware, if it’s not already a toggle in software. But something I noticed.

The issue with a wireless standalone mic is that there is a LOT of components that need to be implemented in a small space. Wireless transmission (not bluetooth) uses a lot of power to transmit that much data so a big battery, the capsule is large, it needs to contain the dac and amp for the mic, and the hardware for transmitting it all and a way to mount it to something. Its hard to make a GOOD wireless mic much smaller than the modmic wireless without incurring a lot of cost. Vmoda boom though if you dont mind a cable ;)

the physical size of the driver 50mm although quite large isint necessary in the reproduction of low frequencies (808s) to get a really bassy headset as you probably want it you either want a closed back over ear headset with decent sound dampening (this is what noise cancelling headphones try to do but inherently fail because of their phase cancellation of unwanted noise changing the original song you want to hear)

Not a single sign of wear or damage, still sounds as it did when I brought it and people have said my mic quality hasn’t dropped since purchase. Much better than turtle beach

That mic is nuts. I have an Electro-voice RE320 I use at my desk but it's huge and cumbersome for gaming. This is the only mic I've ever heard from a wireless headset that would make me consider not using that mic.

That mic dosent sound that great, sounds nasal and the noise cancelagion cutoff gets really distracting. The on-board EQ memory is great tho, having a semi-permanent fix to the Razer signature sound is always a gopd thing
