Yes , cornmeal on the outside and meat on the inside, is how I’ve eaten them. But it’s been a while. Now you got me craving tamales, lol!

Yea. I have seen them wrapped in corn meal but these weren’t. The corn meal was mixed into the whole mixture.

James is so cute. 💖💜 Wow ive never seen tamales like those. Ours are very different. Im salvadorian so we do them different, even mexican tamales look alot different than those. Look spice. We eat our tamales with bolillo which is like french breat and just a coffee as a morning meal

Please look at New Mexico and see a real tamale. I don't know what this is. Ours is masa or a corn meal mix that is the outer part with pork filling. They are wrapped in a corn husk and steamed. This is a cardinal sin right here.
