Another fantastic video! The scenery is incredible and I appreciate the serenity and beauty. It is important that we embrace all our seasons in nature. Thank you for sharing.

I'm very happy I got into hot tenting. It's probably the most comfortable way to camp in the backcountry during the winter. It's a great way to embrace our long Canadian winters and spend time outdoors all year round. Thanks for watching!

When you enjoy all seasons the fun never ends, gotta love it! Living in Nova Scotia we didn't have a lot of snow but did manage to get out a few times on the shoes. Am now looking forward to some paddling come spring. Wonderful four day adventure, thanks for sharing. :) :)

I'm looking forward to paddling too. The rivers in my area are starting to open up and it won't be long now until I can get out in my canoe. Thanks for watching!

Hi Alec & Paige. So excited for another video. I wish the fish were bitting you work so hard with making the hole. The meals you make look so good. Until next time. Keep safe.

Hi Helen! I wish the fish were biting too, it is hard work making multiple holes! Oh well...thanks for the game of UNO we had fun playing it by the fire at night. See you on our next adventure! 🙂

Wire brush the stove at the end of season, then rub cooking oil all over it. If you don't want to oil it, you can choose to spray paint it with high heat paint (bbq paint) to keep it looking fresh

I like to use stove polish on the outside and I spray the inside with vegetable oil before storing during the summer months. Thanks for the tips!

What a cosy set up! What size of snowtrekker did you get? Love the video. Great sound, crispy video, and great scene choices/edits. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure! 💜

We are always cozy inside our hot tent! It is a Snowtrekker 8 x 10 Crew. Perfect size for 2 people. I appreciate your compliments, it takes a lot of time to make a video but I enjoy it! Thanks for watching my adventure 😀

Making the most of our Ontario winters Alex and Paige, love it! We live in Canada so we may as well enjoy all seasons and you two are doing it. Keep adventuring.

We are so lucky to have 4 very different seasons, each with their own beauty and benefits. We're fortunate to be able to do what we love to do and happy to take people along for the adventure. Thanks for your encouragement 😀

Hey Teunis, glad you enjoyed it! I must have chiseled 5 or 6 holes. Winter camping will keep you in good shape that's for sure. Thanks for watching 👍

Good tips . As well let your subscribers know about the huge daily use fees coming for backcountry camping in Ontario parks. It's a 300 to 400% increase depending what park your camping in.

Good call Scott, this is a real bummer forsure! Let’s hope our government doesn’t follow through..
@AleconAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I will have to mention that in one of my upcoming videos. I am planning to do my next trip in Algonquin. Luckily, the fees have not changed there yet. Hoping it stays that way, fingers crossed.

Glad you enjoyed it and I wish you a speedy recovery. On this trip we were exploring a new area in the Almaguin Highlands just west of Algonquin. Thanks for watching!

Are you snowshoeing and controlling the drone at the same time?!? I'm barely coordinated enough to snowshoe by itself, how in the world do you do both simultaneously?!? 😂🤣
@AleconAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Haha I've snowshoed many miles so I've had a lot of practice before trying the drone at the same time. Luckily there were no trees in the middle of the lake for me to run into 😅

How do you find that stove size for the 8x10 SnowTrekker? I believe you have the small stove, also known as the Trekker model. Is it sufficient or would the next size up (medium / Alaskan Jr) be better? Thanks.
@AleconAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Hey Wesley, we are happy with this size stove in the Snowtrekker Crew. You're right, it is the Trekker model. This is what Snowtrekker recommends for that tent. With good wood it gives an adequate amount of heat for the tent and allows for 2 cooking spots on top. Because it is a smaller stove, it does take more constant stoking & reloading. Going with the next size up would require the tent to have a bigger stove jack hole. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 🙂
