Exped are the BEST pads. I have the one that uses the snozel "pump" bag. Saves weight and the snozel bag doubles as a waterproof bag for my sleeping quilt. It can also hold water and with an additional purchase it turns the water bag into a water dispenser. Exped is THE way to go.

Part of your moisture on the tarp problem - with the propane heaters is that they actually give off a lot of water in the burning process. See it in Ice Fishing tents/shacks too!
@Lonewolfwildcamping5 жыл бұрын
That is the only downside to propane... im going to be doing an upcoming video of a diy wood stove alternative in the near future watch out for that video.

Great video and suggestions. If you are attempting stealth camping consider adding a white sheet over your tarp to make it less conspicuous. When I used to winter tent camp i would always pack a pump spray bottle Fill it with water and moisten the outer rain fly using a fine mist. It would freeze adding a wind break. As condensation collected inside it would coat inside tarp and wick moisture to outer, lower edge. Be sure to use propane canisters; propane boils at -30°F while butane will stay liquid up to 30°F. Southern states usually refill gas tanks with butane. Bring them north and you have to heat the tanks to use the butane as a gas.
