Have you had a close call with falling branches or a falling tree while camping?
@bonpecheur4565 Жыл бұрын
I had no close call but some fear after waking up in the night after hearing a big crash in the forest around the camp . I found a big pine in the morning a few hundred feet from camp .

I was hunting on a property lease that me, my dad, and my 2 brothers had back in the late 90's. I hunted there many times by myself and enjoyed the solitude that this property offered. I had a tree stand not far into the timber which was located on a Major Deer "Highway" and had hunted that stand many times with great success. One particular hunting trip the skies looked "Stormy" and while heading out all by myself as I approached the tree stand I had a bad "feeling in my gut" that said 'don't go there' the feeling was so strong that I backed out and went back to camp for the evening. Late that night I laid inside my one room camper as the storm approached when a Burst of Lightning Cracked so loud it was almost deafening. It lit up the entire sky and sounded like a bomb went off. The next morning shortly after daylight I went into the woods to my favorite stand and found that a Huge.....and I mean HUGE oak tree had been struck by lightning only about 10ft. from my treestand. There were large splinters of wood and bark piercing my tree stand. I could not believe what I was seeing, had I been in that stand I wouldn't be here writing about it. "Something" warned me Not To Go There!

Such an amazing trip in the winter forest. Your touristic equipment is great! I love the video, it looks calm and relaxing when you fire up the wood burning stove, cooking your dinner, hearing a wood crackling in a tent and snow blowing on the outside at night. Best wishes from Ukraine.

I love the area, the snow, the forest, the camping experience. Why is it when you build the fire you had every side open so it couldn't heat up. And it stayed that way until you went in later that evening. When you finally went in for the night you closed the tent up so you could get heat. The other thing that I noticed was everything was quiet and then the wind queued in on point. Then it showed the morning and you heard the wind blowing really hard, but what I noticed was the trees weren't moving neither was the tent. It almost seems like the wind was dubbed in. Anyways beautiful scenery.

Done the hot tenting thing like three times now I got a four-man Tp this weekend I'm going to do a three-door out in the family timber yep 100 acres up there I hike back in there and set everything up it's supposed to snow pretty good the whole time and I've never been out in that kind of condition yet but I'm looking way forward to it I'm going to have to use my guidelines though and I've never done that so I don't know how that's going to work hopefully it all comes out all right

WOW! I just came across your channel. You have many adventures for me to watch. I subscribed and happy I found your channel 🙂. Where are you from? I used to love hiking, camp, cross country and downhill skiing, to name a few. My passion was running and everything took off from there. Rock climbing the side of a mountain with my harness, ropes, biners, etc. was a natural high. But those days are gone. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and it’s far worse than Osteoarthritis. I was always with a group of friends. One morning we woke up covered with snow. We took bushwhacking seriously 🙂. Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with my past escapades. Best of luck and I will continue watching you adventures ♥️
