Why do I feel this reaction of her dancing is too over exaggerated even on Twitter. It’s just a dance part sure people aren’t used to seeing female idols dancing so provocatively but she ain’t a Kpop idol there she’s just acting her part. There are things about the “sponsors” from big companies that I don’t understand. 1. That type of scandal if there is a whistleblower could take down a billion dollar company. Besides the awful moral implications, why put themselves at risk when the company is already financially secure? 2. Trainees are mostly underaged. Some come from wealthy families. Why wouldn’t they tell their parents? With so many trainees that go thru the system why wouldn’t more post anonymously on websites saying company X is shit? They tried to pimp trainees out. Something about the story doesn’t add up.

I watched the episode-it’s definitely a dark and gritty story, meant to be disturbing and shedding light on the vampiric users and exploitation of young women in the entertainment industry. Jennie’s scene was TAME and her costumes actually modest in comparison to the lead role, but when taken out of context of the story and slowed down it looks…yeah🤣

The issue with the idol is that Sam Levinson tries so hard to compensate for his lack of good writing with shock value. I am no prude & I don’t have a problem with semi pornographic scenes in shows, but if it’s written organically and there’s a clear commentary or advances the plot that’s fine. Sam is just a shock artist for the sake of it & that’s why people think it’s dumb. His screenwriting is always so cringe & he writes teen characters how edgy boomers think young people talk. The only saving grace is that the cinematography & visual art is excellent but arguably, that’s not even really his glory to claim.
