+dfuzeNL Hot Toys does such a great job with their 1/6 line! Even though I collect mostly statues I really want that Beetlejuice 1/6 figure! I was hoping to see more of their 1/4 scale line but I've heard nothing, I wonder what happen with that? I like the 1/4 scale figures so I really wanted to see what they would do, Enterbay has a fantastic 1/4 scale line, too, especially their Terminator line, but they lack the licenses for other popular characters.
@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
+Max Power Yes they're awesome! :) The Beetlejuice figure is by Sideshow btw. But it's always a risk with Sideshow 1/6 figures. They show us awesome looking prototype pictures but the final product looks nothing like it. I have a few 1/4 scale figures by Enterbay and also 1 by Hot Toys. It's not a very popular line though especially in Asia due to space problems there. That's why we probably don't see much new stuff.
@MaxPowerHouse238 жыл бұрын
+dfuzeNL That's right Beetlejuice is SSC not HT.

@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
lol! I'm glad you're enjoying it :) You can get the stands on Ebay. The custom decals I got from Joe Turner on Facebook. He can create pretty much anything you want. The stand for the bankrobber Joker is the original stand btw. The second version comes with the huge diorama base. I got the first version with the regular stand.

I have to admit I know nothing about the action hero figures you collect, but your display is very cool! I think this might be something my son in law would get into. Could you give me some basic info? I don't want to insult, but are they called action figures, and any places that are good to buy? What inspires you to collect certain figures, you just like certain action movies and the character's? Any basic info would be appreciated. You have the best collection I've seen. I like your updated video, the music theme goes well together. Thanks, JohnG
@dfuzeNL7 жыл бұрын
john g Hi John, first of all...thanks for the kind words. Really appreciate it. To answer your questions... Basically they're action figures but we like to call them high end collectible figures. If you call them dolls then we get offended lol ;) I have to say right away that they're not cheap. They'll cost you about 250-300 USD each nowadays. You can't buy them at a regular toy shop since they're not intended for kids. There are several websites that sell them such as Sideshow or Big Bad Toy Store (both in the US). But the figures can also be found on eBay. The reason why I collect is simple. I've always been a collector ever since I was a little kid. I grew up in the 80s so of course I collected G.I.Joe and Star Wars action figures amongst others. And I just never got enough of them. When I got older I discovered McFarlane and NECA figures which were a bit more expensive (20-30 USD range). And then I saw a picture of a incredible looking Terminator figure. It was made by Hot Toys. I instantly fell in love with all the detail. Never have I seen such a beautiful figure....but then I saw the price. Holy crap! How much did to say? Back then the prices were about 160-170 USD which I thought was crazy. But I couldn't get the figure out of my mind. I thought about it for a week or so and took the plunge. Instantly hooked and never looked back. I mainly collect figures or statues from Batman and Terminator because that's were my heart truly lies. Occasionally I get something else like a Star Wars character or Predator but only if I really like it. Terminator and Batman is what I love so that's the main theme in my collection. I hope I answered your questions and if you like to know more please don't be afraid to ask.
@Johnny53kgb-nsa7 жыл бұрын
dfuzeNL I appreciate the reply. I looked briefly on Sideshow's ( sp.?) and, wow, they had some collectibles that were well over $1000.00, and Big Bad Toy store seemed mostly priced lower. Could you tell me the popular size, in scale, 1/10, or 1/6? I could see where the hobby could get very addictive lol. I guess you get what you pay for, Like most anything. I'm going to show my daughter your collection, I think her husband would really enjoy them. Thanks for your time. JohnG
@dfuzeNL7 жыл бұрын
john g Yeah this hobby can get quite addictive and really expensive. Over the years I've spend thousands of dollars on my collection but the good part is that they hold their value ...well for the most part. Some pieces you can sell with a slight profit and with others you take a bit of a loss. You win some you lose some. But I'm always reasonable with my prices when I'm selling something....unlike others...but that's another story lol. The most popular size with figures is 1/6 and statues 1/4 for the most part. 1/3 is becoming more and more popular with all the Prime 1 masterpieces coming out left and right. But these will cost you about 900-1000 USD. It's crazy but like you said ...you get what you pay for. Insanely detailed pieces of art really.

Hey, sorry voor de late reactie. Er zijn verschillende shops hier in Nederland. Je hebt metropolis collectibles, galaxyshop, gator, hammers collectibles op marktplaats to name a few. Goedkoop zijn deze collectibles sowieso niet dus ik weet niet of het veel scheelt met waar jij besteld.

@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
+Lew Leary The DX01 is a great choice but personally I would go for the DX11 Joker. The DX01 is an older figure and the DX11 is superior. But both come with lots of extras. And the DX01 even comes with another figure...well...if you get another true type body.
@mindjab8 жыл бұрын
fair point fuze ! but i think the clothing on the dx01 looks better than the dx11 clothing, you might agree on that but yeah for sure the dx11 head sculpt is superior to the dx01 head sculpt
@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
+Lew Leary I actually like the 'dirty' look of the DX01 coat but the overall tailoring is much better on the DX11. But I like them both. Wouldn't want to part with any of them.

+dfuzeNL Yes sir. I would say joint second with the Peter Weller, behind the 1/4 Bale. Favouring Cap'n jack as numero uno overall. Where did you aquire that lovely little treasure chest?
@Trickshot728 жыл бұрын
+Colin Morgan (Trickshot72) Peter Weller as battle damaged Robo cop, to make myself clear.
@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
+Colin Morgan (Trickshot72) Yeah that BD Robocop sculpt is really good. Can't find anything wrong with it. I got the 1/4 scale Batman but I'm not a big fan of the Bale sculpt. But the cowl sculpts are perfect! Jack Sparrow sure is one of Hot Toys' best. Love everything about it. Kinda miss these DX packages. Feels special with the foam and everything :) The treasure chest is custom made but I have no idea who made it.

I have the Project bm Kaneda's bike. Bought recently, unopened, from Japan, so roughly the same price as a used Lear jet. The duty alone was enough to buy a DX. I know it's practically the law that you display it with Shotaro, but my issue is, I don't think the figure is worthy of the bike.
@dfuzeNL8 жыл бұрын
Congrats on getting that bike! I'm sure it wasn't cheap. But yeah...the figures aren't that great and certainly not worth their prices. But you can't display this bike without either one of them imo. The bike looks good on it's own but absolutely fantastic with Kaneda on it. If you can find them used for a good price I'd seriously consider buying them.
