I'm a 26 year old male, and I grabbed the rooted Ron. I gotta be honest, this Ron has me more hyped than any of the Star Wars stuff that has been put up for PO. I feel Harry's numbers were low because INART weren't clear that they'd do Ron and Hermione. The amount of ISO posts for Harry I think prove that.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting this version of the trio because they're most iconic versions that most people will think of when they think "Harry Potter", the robes, scarf, Sorting Hat, etc. Rather than the "hoodie and khakis" plain clothes they had by the time DH rolls around. But I would totally get those versions too, and GoF or OotP, especially if it meant we get Luna, too.

When it comes to bad releases of Hot Toys, maybe we really should be voting with our wallets. But I'm guilty of getting bad figures cause I want a representation in my collection as well. Both Keco and Natalie are 100% right when it comes to Harry Potter. I just can't see myself getting them no matter how incredible they look. Maybe if I supplemented the collection with the collectible wands that would look cool but definitely can't do just the 3 figures.

Harry Potter is massive in the UK, I am not a fan, but it will sell! A lot of women love it! I had an ex girlfriend years ago, who qued for hours to get the books first!

The conversation when it comes to 6 scale teenagers is always kind of split because you have 1/2 who wouldn't mind collecting certain characters that are children because it's some of their favorite characters that they like to see and then you have the other side that feels a little bit uncomfortable because if someone wants to have a large collection of children they will find them to be perverted and they have some weird collectors that you don't know what type of Hose is they would actually do with those figures and I feel that that's probably some of the reason why some figures that are teenagers They hold back or they don't do it at all for an example Cassie From Ant-Man Perfect girl was teased and yet it's not There for production We still don't have a Miss Marvel I think the reason we were fortunate to get that Padawan Ahsoka is because she's an alien in the show it's unfortunate but I I understand the fallback because they are just some collectors for a little bit on the creepy side

1:18:11 Natalie G nailed it on this topic and she’s right about the InArt thing though, I still remember unboxing my InArt Joker for the first time and I was blown away by the head sculpt when I first saw it.. and I only PO the standard version, it’s my favourite unboxing of a figure to date and I’ve been collecting Hot Toys for over 6 years now. And now we have Hot Toys who’s the best in the business of 1/6th for all these years and they’re literally giving us (mid head sculpts and kit bashing their own figures and then calling it an exclusive to sell it at a higher premium price point) which to me is kind of a sus move on Hot Toys part when InArt is giving us that extra 5% better overall when the final product is released.

Interesting topic on “ should we accept subpar likeness in headsculpts by HT” but why isn’t bringing anyone the topic of “ should accept the huge QC issues of InArt figures “? Like the posts pile up , mainly in Kit’s group , because InArt don’t permit those in their actual group . But for the price point , for the delays and slow batches , it seems they have serious QC issues on their last batch of Gandalf which was the biggest batch . And accessories missing or being wrong galore , but I see videos of reverse polarity magnets so the head bring ejected from the neck . And nobody talking about this ? Is InArt truly as premium as they pose to be when they have QC issues I’ve not yet seen in third party even ?

Hmm interesting! I'm pretty active in those groups and I haven't seen those types of posts ultra frequent. I see one or two every so often, but I guess my experience has been different. Keco hasn't seen a lot either, but maybe it's just us. Otherwise, we'd def discuss it

@@WillFoxification but you are getting early batches ? The most complaints started with the final batch ,with Gandalf . And while the posts themselves might be few ,if you read the comments to those posts ,more and more people pile up with their issues ,from those they deem “ small” , such as bad magnets in the base or missing accessories,not great rooting , to those that make it impossible to put the head on due to reversed polarity magnets . I think being in the last batch only makes it worse ,because not only did those people pay same as those who get the influencers batches , had to wait for more than 8 months to get them , and then they are inferior as a product .

The only thing “ exclusivity “ especially on artisan does is feed the scalpers and make a few bois feel “ special “. It’s too bad things like time period PO don’t exist to have the estimate what would sell .., oh wait .

Timed PO does seem like the best compromise to keeping exclusivity but allowing those that really want the figure to get it.
