I'm pretty happy they release this Gantry I miss on the first one and I've been wanting one forever. I would have preferred to purchase the Gantry only but since that's not the case, now that they are forcing my hand is going to be cool to have a Mark IV to display. I really wish they had gone all out and released an mk4 in pieces that cannot be put together granted but have all the internal detail to replicate the suit assembly, I'm asking too much I know.

They have teased at times with items KINDA like that when they had shown an "Opened" Mk 7. They did do the Armor Unleashed Mk 2 years ago and I have seen some amazing custom work done by customize-ers just as you were referring to. But yeah, I also wondered why they didn't offer the Gantry as a stand alone like they did last time.

Because they know the Gantry is a highly sought out and unique item. The Mark IV is just another Ironman that I would've personally skipped and anybody who is not an Ironman collector would do the same. I love Ironman, I have one and is easily one of the best looking figures in my collection along with War Machine and Hulkbuster. Now I don't need another one with the exact same color scheme. If they ever release a Hall of Armor 2.0 or something with an AC adapter powering the whole thing I would collect Ironman but not the original 7. I would collect the most unique designs like Peacemaker, Starburst, Bones, Gamma you know does guys.

Been noticing BBTS is starting to charge down payments. I don't really have an issue with that because of the higher prices than Iron Man figures of the past. Just preordered the Gantry version from BBTS and have the regular 4 diecast on preorder. Can get a couple nice variations pose wise. Looking forward to this one, especially because I don't have a Gantry set yet.

BBTS Charges a Down when the price of the item exceeds a certain Amount. I don't know how much the item has to be to cause the Down Payment, I think it is $400, but I may be wrong. Yes, ONe of my absolute Favorites, I am so looking forward to this piece. My Gantry is one of my center pieces, I Love it and can't wait to add this one to my collection.

Being that I just don’t have the room for the gantry I’m just going for the standard mark 4 plus I think I might be getting it as a gift so I don’t want to push her in to paying 600 for the complete set

I estimate that it takes up the same storage space of about 3 separate figures.. I think a figure would be a GREAT gift!

Here's the thing about the Mk 7 Diecast. First it hasn't even been previewed at any of the Cons, so their isn't any pre-production anything or time frame associated with it at this point. Second, once it has been announced, the average wait time from announcement to release on their Diecast Figures has been about 15 months. I guess it really depends on several personal factors from where you are standing. Are you planning on only having one piece for your collection? Is the Mk 7 a preferred piece for you over the Mk 4, Can you wait for an undisclosed amount of time until the Mk 7 arrives? I guess it really depends on you. Me, I will be getting everyone they make. I like the Mk 4 A LOT, it is a cool piece. I like the Mk 7 a lot too. I hope this answered your question.

Dude! What took you so long for this preview? Anyway, this is great for people who missed out with the original. But over $600 for the deluxe? Idk.

Been spending time back and forth at the Hospital the last 6 months... long story. I know that $600 may seem like a lot of money, with $300 of that going just to the Gantry, which doesn't appear to be Diecast whatsoever. When they last released the Gantry, you could buy that separate. This time they did not offer that option interestingly enough. A quick search on eBay shows that the previous Gantry is selling for more than $300, so there is value in getting a brand new, never before assembled and hopefully not broken Gantry
