I think this one looks much better than the original. The first one doesn't look anything like Michael J Fox. I wish this one didn't have "angry" eyes and I would have preferred a guitar accessory instead of Einstein, but neither are deal breakers for me. I'm excited to be adding this to my collection.

Is it better? It's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying the first release on the secondary market so YES. That qualifies as better. Plus better sculpt, paint, joints accessories etc..

I will have both versions… the shade of the skin yes but the sculpt - no way. First sculpt was superior. Also, you have lost the guitar and the sunglasses accessories for Einstein the dog.

Thanks for the review, I agree with you that V1 was too dark but after watching this review I’m so grateful I didn’t order V2 because I think the head sculpt on V1 is so much better. I think the new sculpt looks more like Jason Bateman in Teen Wolf Too.

Haha, the whole bit about all you can do with the first one is pose them looking at their watch. Yeah, I like how this one has a less freaked out expression. Love the movie so much that I had to spend the $320 (total cost) for the upgrade. The one thing I'm not digging is that damn metallic copper hair...just like Luke.

20:00 It's as if they perfected the Michael J Fox likeness due to working on Tom Holland a bunch of times lol. Some are saying the first version looks more accurate; I say they're just trying to convince themselves of a lie in order to not buy the new one.

Denial to not buy the new one happens indeed but regardless all I can say is I prefer the expression on this one.

To my regret I never owned the first version but even then I think that the first one had the better likeness. The 2.0 has a better head shape (it’s rounder, broader than the first one) but the facial features were definitely better on the first one. Instantly recognisable as MJF. This one not as much. A mix of the two would be perfect I think? The BTTF 2 version has the best headsculpt so far, in any case.

There's no limited or exclusive sticker on this... Do you have any information if it will be open for worldwide order after toy sapiens event? Btw, I've watched this review over and over... Big BTTF fan here and the sculpt and paint job is an improvement here!

I just tried preordering Marty from sideshow and it seems OK. It allows the order all the way to placing it. Did you get some error when you tried placing your order?

Honestly I think this limited run is just a game they are playing to test the market. If it sells well they will make more. Either way I think you will be able to get one.

One reviewer mentioned the skin tone is unnatural, comparing it to a woman with a lot of pale foundation on. I mean anything's better than the previous with the yellowish/tan skin...like a lot of older 1/6 figures. Your review definitely makes it look darker, so I wonder if there's an inconsistency with the paint. And please Hot Toys, let's get Indy 2.0. Maybe besides Star Wars and Keaton Batman, Indiana Jones is the most iconic character. Rebrand it as the Last Crusade version, and give us a Henry Jones senior. I mean a whole line of Indiana Jones would be amazing, and crippling expensive.

My review to be honest made this figure sculpt look a bit more yellow than it is in person due to lighting. Usually I like how they look but in this case due to the color of the jacket vest made everything look a bit to yellow in some shots. I corrected that in my comparison video if you like to check out. His face is quite pale in person but I think it looks good. Indeed we need a new Indi figure.
