Version 1.0 all the way! The details are just better. IMHO. ;) Also, the newer version price is ridiculous ($600). I got my 1.0 for $180. ;)

Woah, why would it be $600 when it's still available at (according to them exclusive to) Sideshow? I just found out about all of these new BTTF figures yesterday, so thanks to the figure community I'm a part of that disregards 1/6 figures. Wish there was one group/news source that covered all the action figures plus 1/6 scale. People are either 6/7" scale collectors or 12". So rare to find ppl that are into everything. Boy, I wish it was $220 here in the US. It's $285, so it's gonna be about $330 after tax and shipping. Just _way_ too damn expensive! If it came with the radiation outfit or the Enchantment Under the Sea suit as well, that'd be an appropriate price for sure.

The skin tone on the new head sculpt is way better. The old one was was too dark. The paint app on the hair on the new one is not great and the tailoring appears to be sloppy. Hot Toys your standards are slipping.

I prefer the skin tone of the new figure but its hair, both in terms of the color and the shape, is a downgrade, it looks too much like a helmet.

I remember this figure must have not been well received when it was realeased. I got mine for $160 seller on ebay listed it brand new for $180 i offered he accepted! Im amazed at how much its gone up in value 🤑

14:59 It looks like a 'of northern European Caucasian ancestry' to me. The previous one has a strong yellow/tan look to it. Reminiscent of the (much needed 2.0!) HT Indy. It has a very inaccurate completion. I think it just comes down to the southeast asians that paint them. They tend to want to paint the skin tone like the way they look and not like what the character is supposed to be. But...when I get it in hand and can compare my copies, I might have a different interpretation. Thanks for ruining a 300+ dollar figure man lol. Nah, I love getting new and rational viewpoints; especially since everyone I've come across has said the new one is light years better.

I much prefer the head sculpt on this new version but i think the tailoring does not look as good IMO.Einstein turned ok but i think more attention to detail and paint apps would of made for a much more realistic Einstein.Still, a fantastic figure and great if you missed out on the first version.As always my friend, sharp, crisp in depth review😎

I'm getting the newer version because I didn't want to pay so much for the old version, I really love this video showing the differences but I'm perfectly content with the newer one except for the shity pants.. but I've noted that the tailoring does differ from figure to figure they got more than one person doing it

The older version headsculpt and paint details are 100 times better than the newer version. The new headsculpt looks fat and inflated by comparison. Overall the original is far superior.

I just noticed that this release is MMS573 but the other BTTF figures like Western Doc and Clint Eastwood Marty are numbered in the MMS 600s. HOT TOYS MMS 572 STAR WARS V : TESB - DARTH VADER (40TH ANNIV) came out in May 2020 and HOT TOYS MMS 574 STAR WARS V : TESB - BOBA FETT (40TH ANNIV) came out in September 2020. I wonder if this Marty McFly figure was supposed to be released last year (2020) but got held back? Have you noticed any other MMS numbers that are missing or out of sequence that might give us a hint or a clue to upcoming releases? 🤔 Thanks for the great videos Regan 😎👍

Nice head sculpt, I think it's better than the original as I felt that one looked a bit to old looking. I didn't think Hot Toys would release this so quick considering we have to wait a year for the re- release of Batman Dark Knight Rises.
